Since this mod didn't have a folder for it, yet...

OK, here is something I've wanted for a long time and I hope it isn't too difficult: A two square long cooler.

I know that sounds silly, but hear me out. The way temperature works in the game the ideal freezer has double walls, two squares thick, to prevent temperature bleed-out. The weak point in this idea is that the coolers are only one square, so there is always a section where I have to leave the walls only one square thick, otherwise it blocks the exhaust and the coolrers stop working.

But if there were two square, rectangular coolers, I wouldn't have this problem.

I know it sounds silly and trivial, and I could always just install the industrial coolers from that mod, but this would be something I could use with just starting tech.

First, thanks for your mod!

So... will it be ported to 1.0? Cause i feel it should really be in the base game, and it's annoying to play without.

If you click nearly any link from the Replace Stuff description (https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1372003680)

It'll show you to mod's 1.0 download

1.0 in unstable beta, so no Steam release though

Is it at all possible to add lights that you install over walls similar to the vents? All the "wall light" mods i've checked don't actually build it in the wall like I want. It's always in the tile next to it simply rotated to look like it's on the wall =( ... another thing that could be cool is something like combining the vents from programmable vents to be over the wall vents. Just some ideas I thought of. Love your mod!

Lights in the wall would be a programmatic confusion: which side of the wall does the light shine? Placing it next to the wall makes it easy. (I assume that wall light doesn't block building placement... that'd be dumb)

I mean, It'd take some real code changes to put the light on the wall and rotate it for the light direction.

Programmable Vents can make their own version of over-wall things. I mean that's just one of many vent mods. Can't make them all better myself.

For reference to make things over-wall, the needed def changes are here: https://github.com/alextd/RimWorld-ReplaceStuff/blob/master/Defs/OverWallCoolerVent.xml

Good point about the light. Didn't think about it like that. I'll post in some other mod discussions and see what'll come of it with the programmable vents thing. thanks! ^^

Hey!

Can I request a patch for Dubs Hygiene Mod? https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=836308268

Especially the pipes?
Uuugggg  [developer] 7 Sep, 2018 @ 6:51am
Hmm. DONE.

Okay, that was a lot of time spent finding out what five lines to change to make this happen;

BadHygiene had special checks to see if pipes can place which would overturn replacestuff saying it can; so I just needed to apply ReplaceStuff's "can replace" check and ignore other checks
Uuugggg  [developer] 7 Sep, 2018 @ 6:56am
And when I say 'done' I mean new pipes with different materials can now be built on top of old ones and it replaces them.

I loaded up that mod and that seemed to be the only thing to do
Yzrallez 7 Sep, 2018 @ 7:05am
Thanks!

Those pipes were such a pain to replace in-game since deconstructing the connection means no toilets for everyone and stone pipes takes a lot of time to build.

A small request from me:
Can the mod be changed that it can also 'replace' a material with the same material?
Because after the blueprint is placed, the QualityBuilder mod could autiomatically kick in and rebuild until the set quality is met.

Background:
I'm looking for a convenient way to update a lot o furniture to better quality, without changing the base material at all.

So far it works already when I e.g. set a wooden bed to stone. It would be nice if i could place a wood blueprint over a wood bed too.

Thanks for the mod!

Well wait, that part of QualityBuilder doesn't work. It doesn't check the quality level and rebuild ~ it just uses the best builder. That would be something that QualityBuilder needs to change: It would have to recognize the ReplaceFrame instead of just Frames, and then it could trigger another Replace instead of Deconstruct.

Really though, QuailtyBuilder could add a button to rebuild - no need for this mod to do that.

(And wait long enough and I'll just put quailtybuilder features in this mod anyway)
