Missile damage and unit speed
Have to start by saying that this is a great mod.

Yet in battles I find it a bit weird that all missle units are very weak since their projectiles barely do any damage to even lightly armored troops. Even shooting into the back of a unit where there should be no missile block hardly does any damage. In addition to that I found missle units on foot aswell as on horses to be a bit slow moving. Its really difficult to get away from other much heavier units because of the marginal speed differences.

As an example three units of skirmishers were targeting one unit of elephants and they only took down a few models. Unarmored elephants.

All of this makes skirmish cav, infantry and other missile units somewhat useless to field.

I agree that slingers suck. But proper archers and javelin units are OK in my opinion. Archers are especially useful at sieges, I observe them having 100+ kills.

Thats under optimal circumstances and I know they are supposed to be weaker than in vanilla in other games but they are almost useless especially in open field battles. I am guessing this is down to raw missle damage being pretty low. I saw some greek soldiers being hit and also receiving about 10 pillum. 7 of them stuck in the shield and 3 of them stuck in his back. He was still alive.

Strengthen long-range fire, so it's the same as Rome 2 or Rome 2 mod DEI !

In that era, except javelin, it was not powerful

No not as powerful as in vanilla... just a tad bit more powerful. Did a battle and the enemy emptied hundreds of javelins on my greek pikes in formation.... barely 20% of each unit died. I think +25% missle damage across the board would not be bad.

anyway i can't play the game because of the end of turn crash issue. this is my second try, and i'm 125 turns into the game and can't continue because it keeps crashing. you guys found a solution for it?
