I was checking the mod out & I saw that most place names for the Carthaginian faction are in Latin, except for Tsabratan. Idk the system behind place naming that is used or what the intention is- So at any rate if people want to have authentic or reasonably suggestable Phoenician /Punic place names for the provinces we are dealt here's a list that can help:

Carthago = Qart Hadasht
Hadrumetum = Adramut, but I would suggest using Tapsûr (different town nearby)
Lepcis Magna = Either Lipiqa or Lepiqy
Cirta = Kirthan
Tipasa = Could work anyhow, but I'd suggest Ikosim instead which is usually described as an actual settlement rather than trading post.
Tingis = Tingi if you want to keep the name, albeit the ingame location used is actually closer to the settlement of Likush (in Greek known as Lixos).
Malaca = Malaka, albeit again the location used is closer to Seks.
Carthago Nova = Qart Hadasht Hadash
Hispalis = Ishbaal, could also go for Shephera but Ishbaal is a safer bet.
Corduba = Qart-Tubah, the name's dubious but still suggestable anyhow as plausible
Tarraco = Tarqon, same here it's plausible at any rate
Salamis = albeit Kittim nearby would be a safer bet, you can still rename this into Shalam or Shelowi which is plausible.
Tyros = Tsûr or Sûr

Also if you want to do an uno reverse-card, you can rename Rome into Rûmi or sth like that after conquering & thoroughly sacking it.

Keep in mind these names are based of inscriptions, which lack vowels cause it's a semitic language, and etymological reconstruction with Hebrew being the closest surviving relative. In other words there is wiggle room, albeit we can definitely exclude that Latin names were used.

If you want to come up with your own alt-history names it's neat to know Hebrew or Arabic to do that. Beyond that there's simple things you can keep in mind: "Qart" refers to a town or port-town, "Hadasht" means new, "Bait" or "Bayit" means "house", "Baal" means "(the) Lord", etc.
