I explain here the reason behind the removal of other shields variants and reikland uniforms rework. (comment too long).
About shields:
- previous version shields was too much finctional and poorly detailed
- assuming that an empire unit should show the same shield decals there is no reason to have too much shields variations.
- assuming that common empire state troops shields should not be too much sophisticated, there is no reason to use sophisticated metal decals for each faction. Tabletop 8th edition miniatures shields was designed to fit in a cheaper way with generic empire state troops concept and not with provincial empire state troops concept (which would have been more expensive for GW).
- I decided to edit and use some previous version tabletop shields decals for empire knights. Since the generic imperial knights do not belong to a specific order, there is no reason to use too sophisticated shields for each province (I am inspired by Dave Ghallager's concepts that show how in the War of the Three Emperors the imperial knights showed not specific heraldic).
About the most popular Empire Knightly Orders heraldry I want to wait CA moves (hoping in the addition of Knightly Orders units). If they won't develop them I will consider to add them as additional units submod (so I suggest you to stress CA to give more love to Empire in the right way).
About Reikland uniforms (they are white in the lore):
- previous version was too much white, boring and ugly.
Unfortunately the vanilla empire state troops models don't fit well with a total white color pattern (this is the reason why CA didn't gave them a total white color pattern but a Talabheim color pattern).
Following to the Uniforms and Heraldry of the Empire book I tried to give to Reikland uniforms more love (breaking the total white with some touches of black or leather). Even if the vanilla models uniforms are totally different from Uniforms and Heraldry books uniforms I tried to do my best to make the monotonous colors of Reikland more pleasing

So, honestly I like the new Empire Uniforms and Heraldry. I did my best to try to give to the Empire a credible and less finctional look.
