so basically in the old scrap mechanic engines used to be able to adjust "movement" from 0 to 1, now they can only be 0 or 1 so its because of the new engines, you can try to get the old engine for example by finding a creation that uses it (for example intelligentsia mod example turret) and welding it to your creation or use a modded engine that still can be adjusted between 0 and 1
