For those saying “Steam Version Doesn’t Work! Send Help!”
Use the version off GitHub. https://github.com/spdskatr/ProjectRimFactory/releases (Recently found out that although it says you can pick and choose what mods you want out of it, they all will not work without insanity. It’s apparently required).

where do you put the zip files?

You extract the zip files to the mods folder to your steam installation folder for Rimworld.
