A truly unique STAT idea
The sats for it could be like this:

When eaten, you have a chance to either:
+ Get 50 extra base health
+ Get a speed boost for 20 seconds
+ Get 200+ health (no overheal)
+ Refill all HP
+ Triple the chance of random crits for 30 seconds
+ All allies nearby, except yourself, get a speed boost
+ All allies nearby, except yourself, get a slight damage boost
+ All allies nearby, except yourself, get 75 hp
(+/-) You die and drop a big healthpack
- Instantly die
- Get slowness until you die (or resupply)
- Lose 50 health
- Laugh
- Marked for death for 30 seconds

When thrown to an enemy/friendly player they can choose weather to pick it up or not. If they do, those chances applies to them. Except that the health gained will be adjusted depending on wich class we are talking about. They will instantly eat it as they pick it up.

This will make it more of a risk weapon to use implementing it in a truly unique way. Feel free to come with suggestions.

I think it's a pretty good idea, but I think that the "Instantly die" and the "Get slowness until you die" aren't that good. Maybe the "Instantly die" should change into bleeding for 10-15 seconds and the "Get slowness until you die" should change into slowness for 30 seconds.

I also think that giving it to enemies as a luck-based weapon is a neat idea too, but there shouldn't be any negative traits when given to teammates, because some people would try to throw it at their teammates so it would harm them.

About the ''giving it to teammates'' one. They have to pick it up like they do with weapons. This will prevent you from potentially ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ up your team. The instantly die is there to make a mayor risk/reward effect when using it. Basically the most unlucky you can get. It rarely will be the one that is picked, but if you have an extra bad day, then maybe ... but I might be wrong. Maybe you are right that they should be changed. We'll see if Valve takes notice of the idea how they decide to implement it. Perhaps we get something completely different with the same concept?

you could also make it have just all positive effects, so that it would be ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ than the banana sometimes, but sometimes better...
