The Mobile Sentry Gun

I totally like this idea and the mentioned possible stats. Team Fortress 2 'needs' new weapons, not just hats, and this would be great for a new wave of weapons! Be it via a new melee weapon(a wrench for instance) or via a new pda(some sorta gps looking deal, that makes it so you can't make teleporters possibly), I totally give this turret design a thumbs up!
*re-read what I just typed, I put totally way too many times*

Now as a thought, what if the Mobile Sentry did have some form of upgrades, but it required more metal than regular sentries, maybe 3x the amount? Examples being potentially a shield at 800 or 1000 metal, or whichever amount works so Engineers can't just spam out several mobile turrets in one moment.

As another thought, what if the only weapon that can repair the sentry is the one used to spawn it, so that only mobile sentry users can work with them, or only the person who made the sentry can influence it(that way people can't just spawn one, have every engineer use their metal on it, and send it rolling out**)
**Now this could be a good thing, having more team work related scenarios, but it could kill the game if people are wasting their time while the other team sets up and pushes in

A final thought, what if there are options for mobile sentries, in such a way people can choose what the sentry comes equipped with?
Mainly, having options such as:
1)Gatlin Gun
2)Missile Launcher(preferably one with the same rate of fire as a soldier, or less of it, or maybe one that fires smaller, weaker missiles)
3)Flame Thrower(finally, the option of a flame based sentry, but with balance, maybe it can only fire every 30 or 60 seconds, but gets increased range)
4)Sci-Fi Weaponry(firing lasers/plasms, either at a low rate of fire with infinite ammo and slow reload time, or with very slow reload time, but firing massive pulses of energy like the soldier's secondary attack with the Cow Mangler)
5)Ball Launcher(a baseball launcher, or tennis ball launcher variant, that fires balls at a slow rate, that have the same effect and damage as a scout's Sandman Baseball attack)

I'll think of more, but these are my thoughts

The shield on a fix sentry is already overpowered, even if you loose the auto aim 8 stickies or rockets are needed to take it down instead of 3 on a level 3 sentry. I never use the auto aim for that reason.

No i think every engies should be able to repair all types of building with their wrench.

Your final suggestion is very interesting, that would be the best gameplay improvement for TF2 because the mobile sentry have just one weapon on it compared to the sentry level 3 with three. That could make it personalisable it's a great idea and would add a lot for the gameplay to have the possibility to change the gatling by a missile launcher, flak anti air canon, flame thrower, etc. and keeping the wheels.

I think the only way that weapon options could go wrong is if it was possible to change them mid-life(start a life with gatlin, change over to missile); it is probably best to have it so you have to change it in your weapon layout, like changing the style but it changes what it will be doing

Yeah, but instead of separate items, you could make it a different style to the same item, maybe. Like the splendid screen has plain, spike, arrow and spike & arrow options, you could do that with this, except its not just cosmetic anymore. Great idea!

A railgun. (if added to the game with a railgun, it should lower rate of fire and push the sentry back in trade of being able to shoot through an infinite number of enemies, and extremely powerful, and accurate.)
