a couple of Suggestions
I dont know how active the development is for this Add-on but its amazing. being able to load maps that are not only playable but also have true collision directly from the wad its amazing and i congratulate you on that.

That being said i do have a couple of suggestions wich i hope are not too oulandish

-the first one its the most ignorant one because i have no idea how hard this was to make or how it manages to rip a doom level and turn it into a 3d object in source but, could it be possible to make the doom sectors have their original lighting?, if so then it could be a good update to the mod

- the second one its a bit more complex but i think it can be done, correct me if im wrong but, maybe it could be possible to have the add-on be able to pull custom textures (just textures) from Iwads. i noticed that while loading megawad levels that the geometry is there but as expected custom textures are either missing or replaced by stock doom textures (like icarus for example). could it be possible to make the add-on be able to load these textures?, or does GMdoom´s code make that impossible?

I hope that you can see my post and that my suggestions are too ignorant or outlandish.

The addon does use the brightness values from each sector (and also simulates sector lighting changes), but the lighting won't be 100% the same due to some lighting quirks in Doom that are difficult to simulate without shaders. The addon logo is an in-game screenshot with a banner added to the top, so you should expect it to look something like that.

Loading textures from the same wad as the map is something I've wanted to do, but haven't found the time and motivation for. I've got other projects going on right now.
@Jcw87 Feature suggestion: a check system, if the addon become unable to find some textures, it would check the other wad where the level is loading from. I mean, just somehow make this addon able to use custom textures from any wads.

Many wads replace existing textures, so it would make more sense to try the map wad for the texture first, then try the iwad if it wasn't found.
@Jcw87 You're right, it'll be better that way. I meant, what if a wad uses textures with custom names? That would be great if this addon would be able to read custom textures from the map wad, too.
