Report a translation problem
In terms of functionality I feel like it would likely be better suited as an SMG due to the way it operates in Overwatch. I believe there's a mod that adds LW2 SMGs that you can utilize.
Other than that I think this mod is amazing, even for how little content it has at this time.
Yeah I agree that would be nice.
But even better would be an implementation of sombras smg as an smg *dream*
- Zarya's Cannon as a Machine Gun (i forget the exact name but it's the bigass gun Grenadiers get)
- Winston's Telsa Cannon as a Machine Gun
- Sombra's SMG as an LW2 SMG
- Widowmaker's Sniper Rifle as a Sniper Rifle
- Ana's Sniper Rifle as a Sniper Rifle
- Mercy's Pistol as a Standard pistol
- McCree's Pistol as a Standard pistol
- D.VA's Pistol as a Standard pistol
Here's also some suggestions that would really improve onto this mod, though I can fully understand if they're out of range for your abilities or downright impossible.
- Have Ana's Sniper Rifle be able to target allies and shoot them to give them a small health boost, possibly at the cost of a medkit or some specialized type of ammo
- Include Ana's pistol and have it so that it can stun enemies, or knock them unconscious somehow
- Include Ana's healing grenade and have it heal allies and poison enemies
- Have Widowmaker's poison mine be an actual deployable mine that emits poison when triggered
- Have Sombra's telelocator be a throwable grenade that can teleport the thrower to what tile it lands on
Also, for some people who might be reading and wondering "well what about X and Y?"
- Pharah's rocket launcher probably can't be implemented due to the current rocket launcher being a WRIST-mounted weapon, wheras Pharah's is used more like a rifle.
- Widowmaker's grappling hook is already a thing in the game (I believe via the Spider suit)
- McCree's Flashbang is already a usable grenade in the game.
- The hacking ability already exists via the GREMLINs.
- D.VA's MEKA is probably way too complicated to implement into the game. Though, people have implemented SHEVs and MECs from XCOM: Enemy Within, so it may not be IMPOSSIBLE, just very, very hard. If anything, it would probably work best as a cosmetic mod for SPARKs, similar to the Bastion mod for SPARKs.
Some of these suggestions go beyond the scope of this mod, which is just a cosmetic mod. If someone wants to implement these in a different mod, then it's fine by me.
Now, for the weapon suggestions.
Honestly if I knew how to mod I'd totally do this. But I suppose we'll have to wait and see if somebody decides to bless the XCOM2 community with something like I suggested.
