Suggestions to improve the mod
Either ideas for new biomes or improvements on the current ones, you can post them here. If I see something that takes my interest, I might add it to the mod.

I would make some, but sadly I don't have the spriting capabilities to make them. If someone could help me with the sprites I might be able to do something

could we have a compatibility patch for FU that adds FU biomes into the mix?

1). Increasing levels of darkness as you go further below the gas giant.
2). Thick clouds maybe? Thick clouds enveloping all types of Gas Giants.
3). Stronger gravity.
4). Fix the transition of a non-habitable gas giant when you're ascending towards space.

The only suggestion I could make is to add more biomes and sub biomes. The best would be to support all Vanilla and Frackin Universe biomes. ;)

given the resources on the planet it should at least be limited to pretty endgame players, maybe having it be an extremely hot planet like volcanic planets? that way you'll have to be endgame anyway.

@Am Baa! to get the resources in the game you need to get to the lower areas of the map, that means you need to get back up in order to beam up, also even going down is difficult bc of fall damage. Also moons and asteroid fields have the exact same resources and they are early game.

To tell the truth I wanted to give the gas planets a debuff that got worse the deeper you went into the planet, but that would mean that there is a small probability of the player getting corrupted if the he decided to delete the mod while on the planet. Also I want to keep the mod as vanilla friendly as possible (so no custom blocks, liquids or items).

i never said make it all modded and junk, just make the planet as hostile if not more hostile than volcanic and heat based planets, like, y'know, an actual gas giant. xD

Actually I was planning on giving it a mob like entity that would look like a gas cloud and inflict poison on touch. it would only appear on non habitable biomes, not be able to go thu blocks and would not follow the player.

EDIT: after some thought, I discarded the previous idea and replaced it with hords of flying bots that shot lasers, the ones from the space encounters. They haver reduced health so durasteel level equipment can kill them quickly, only that there is many of them and will rapidly overwhelm you if you do not have proper equipment. I played a bit against them and it's quite fun fighting them if you have a way of flight.

I don't have the time to check the mod myself right now but it will definitely help me a lot, but my actual gas giant base is made with Frackin' Universe so it's not that great. So I would be glad to have a custom terraformer for your mode at least to change the weather and parralax. I don't know the compatibility it would have with FU but it would definitely save my big project.

That sounds feasible. I'll try to make a separate mod that adds terraformers for these biomes.
EDIT: @Biirdy Daysleeper Done, terraformers are now included in the main mod that can be crafted at the terraforge for 5k essence or spawned with :

I would suggest to add garden, savanna, snow, mutated, jungle, tundra, midnight, volcanic biomes with a lot of sub biomes. ;)

FU Gas Giants have High Pressure Debuff that crushes you without proper equipment, maybe utilize something similar?
