Best settings for tough experience?

// Infected spawning rate Multiplier (multi*(survivors-4)). Requires director_auto_difficulty 1

what does this setting mean? I want the fastest spawn rate for the hardest challenge (I host 8 player lobbies). any other setting tips to increase challenge would also be appreciated. :D
