Report a translation problem
Several patches ago the base game changed the way research was handled. The devs put in a buffer queue. So if you the gamer forgot to add stuff to your queue and your research colonists or outsourcing was still working, then that research was either queued for the next thing you picked or was applied to the next lowest costing research in the tree you have not picked. That way the research was not lost.
I personally didnt like that change which causes your research tree to eventually become all researched all by itself. There are things on the tree I dont want to research and I dont have an option to not do them.
