I cant seem to replicate this issue.. But for the next update ive added passenger seats and ive changed the dismount area will be directly behind the drone instead of on top - i originally had it on top because if you dismount mid air it has a chance of standing ontop of the drone instead of falling down
@Dcampbell72594
Are you encumbered? Jump button lands it on the ground and sets the movement mode to "walking" , Jump again to fly, X and C control elevation
A) does it really need a saddle?
B) Is it suppose to have a gender, as mine is female?
C) my engram is avail. at lvl 57
I cannot explain the otter part i couldnt replicate that but..
A)its meant to be spawned from an item and that doesnt require a saddle, summoning it alone apears to need a saddle but i will fix that for the next update
B) it cannot mate so theres no need for a gender, ill remove the capability for the next update
C) its supposed to mimic the difficulty of crafting of the MotorBoat
The problem: all seems well and fine until you try to dismount from the SkyDrone. Then all hell breaks loose: you lose your agency to move and become gravity's plaything, sliding around according to the lay of the land. You'll probably fall waist-deep into the ground at first, but later you'll find a weak spot in the terrain and fall through entirely into the water table below. If you don't "ghost" or "fly", you're screwed. IFF you can get back to the SkyDrone you can probably pilot it again, but you're doomed when you get off. Restarting the game/server fixes it.
I've never seen anything else cause this. It would be nice to see the original author fix this or open-source or transfer the mod so that someone else motivated can take a crack at it. That person will likely also want to try tackling the weapon's targeting to make it track the crosshair, its rate of fire, and also fix the stamina regen, either by convincing it to automatically consume available stimberries or fix its custom consumables to properly do the job.
