After completing her space-trials: a two week trip to the edge of stellar space and back to prove her systems, SLV-3R returned to space-dock today for some last-minute upgrades prior to launch day.

From what we understand, the new upgrades primarily focus on her hyperspace capacity, which it's believed has been increased by an incredible 50%, bringing her maximum jump range up to a staggering 4,296.68 Km!

Our investigative journalist Lucy Rickland visited SAVTecs HQ to enquire about the upgrades. Before he was arrested for speaking to her, an anonymous technician had this to say:

"Although we've had to jiggle some of her auxiliary systems around a bit to fit the upgraded parts, no functionality has been lost. Silver is the same ship she was before - just 50% faster! Wait, no... I'm sorry, I didn't mean to say anything, it just slipped out... please don't shoot me! Shoot her instead... she shouldn't be here..."

It's been speculated that SLV-3R may continue to recieve field upgrades long into her mission. SAVTec have neither confirmed or denied the possibility but our mission correspondant was able to obtain an official statement from their spokesman.
SAVTec has also granted ISN future exclusivity on any breaking news regarding upgrades to the Silver Dawn.
