Ever considered open source?
I see you've had trouble with people stealing your mods. Have you ever considered going open source?

Platforms like github enable you to tie full change history of your mods to actual dates, and associate actually legally-binding licenses to the repository.

There are better ways of preventing stealing other than locking your mods down through obfuscation, which by the way is completely bypassable with regards to config and scripts.

Open sourcing your code allows everyone to irrefutably see that you wrote it, but it also has other advantages. Community improvement being one of the main ones with regards to Arma.

I for one love the concept of this mod, but dislike the large use of execVM throughout the code. Now I could quite easily extract all the scripts and rewrite them, then release for my unit internally, but this would be a large waste of time. However if your code was hosted on github, I could then very easily submit code changes for your review, thus keeping the work as your own, but also improving it for the greater community.

Look at CBA, ACE, ACRE, and TFAR as examples of this. All open source, all community driven, all open to changes, improvements, and additions. They can't be stolen, as the full change history of the code is in plain sight with proper licenses attached, meaning any attempts to rebrand and reupload can quickly be identified. ACE for example don't even care if you re-upload, as it's meant to be a community-driven mod!

It's a great model, it would not go amis considering it! I reckon you might get a decent amount of interest from others wanting to help out and contribute to your mods, which means less work for you maintaining it all.

Thanks for the suggestion and I'll think about it. Though it seems like it would increase my workload and change my workflow. If someone has bug reports or suggestions, they can contact me directly.
