I have trying to figure out how to use this mod because some of your Surviving Mars mods needs this one. I was looking for the user's guide on the description page, and tried getting into the discord server but it's missing and invalid respectively. Would you be so kind to fix, clarify, or point me to where I need to go? Thanks in advance

There is no users guide, just a modders guide on how to build in the options to your mod.
The mods you use should explain the options.

As far as using it? If you have a mod that uses it, and you have this loaded and running, you click the menu, then options and the mod options. Its different than the built in vanilla game options.

Hi.
I subscribed and activate. But the "mod options" doesn't appear in game options menu.

Thanks!!!!!

Its there, from the main menu, Mod Options should be listed.
If not then you didnt activate the mod.
Also, which build are you running, steam download or paradox download?

Steam download. Maybe I'm missing something MAJOR -- what do you do to "activate" a mod? I've seen that mentioned one other time but not run across any docs explaining what it means or how to do it.

After you click subscribe on steam, and you waited a moment for the mod to come down, go into the game and click on the bottom left, Mod Manager.
In Mod Manager, click on the 'Installed' section (default is to look at the paradox mods on the store and thats not evident with 'browse all') you should see all the mods you subscribed to.
Click ENABLED on mod config reborn.
Should be good to go now.

Wow, they hid that in plain sight. I've been in and out of the mod editor 20 times but the company logo made my brain ignore the mod manager button :'(

Mod options shows up perfectly now, I'll delete my comments in the general section. If you have time it may help to pin those instructions somewhere more prominent, but it's still my mistake. Thanks for the help and sorry for the bother!

No bother at all. Its been a pain since they decided to add a similar function of "mod options" under the game options menu as well. And that whole paradox mod manager is a bit deceptive in that it puts the paradox mods up front.
Hi, not sure if this is better for the Bug Reports, but I can't get the mod to load into my game or show up under mod options. When I open the Mod Editor I see the following(typo exactly as in the line):

MCR Error: self.data is nil and shoulld not be. MCR did not load data.
Mod Config Reborn Initialized

This happens with or without any mods that use it. Am I missing a file somewhere on the file system perhaps? I tried both the Steam and Paradox versions, same issue. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Actually that is a reset of the database, as it it detecting corruption or first time initialization.
It should happen once, reset the database, and not again unless something about your game is busted. Note, it may happen repeatedly if you never saved at least one game. It saves when you save.
As for not finding the options for Mod Config, its ben somewhat confusing since the developers added their own version (after this one).
This mod config is right off the main menu, see forth screenshot in the mod.
You should see it whether you have any mods that use it or not.
Just note, this is not certified on console, just on PC/Mac/Linux.
Console gets bugged out sometimes and its hit or miss, plus you need a mouse.

Thanks for the quick reply! You were spot-on, I was looking under "Options/Mod Options" instead of just "Mod Options" (insert Picard & Riker double-facepalm here).

Thanks again, much appreciated.
