If you did, that may be the cause. More Floors will only allow me to select Jade not other gemstones from the gemstone mod.
If there's anyone else reading this who had problems with the Gemstones version of MoreFloors using a shorter modlist than this, I'd really like to hear from you. I'm not able to spend time on it just yet so there's no rush, but any and all information is welcome.

Just to make sure everyone else knows:
The version of MoreFloors linked above may corrupt your modlist and isn't a stable version. Please only use it if you are interested in testing for the problem. Thanks!

Of course, I get crashes when trying to share the debug log, but if you install Jewelry, Gemstones, and MoreFloors you should see what we're seeing.
1. Gemstones adds a selection of gem types.
2. Jewelry does some patches if it detects Gemstones. One of them completely removes three types of Gemstones gem.
3. MoreFloors tries to add suitable floors for all of the Gemstones gems, including the ones that Jewelry removes.
4. Rather than RimWorld giving a console error along the lines of "Hey man, this thingDef you're trying to reference doesn't exist any more," we get explosions that force the game to reset the modlist.
I don't especially blame RimWorld. I can understand that recursively checking what defs are available after every single patch operation would probably extend the loading time by a ton. Still... compatibility modding is surely a rabbithole!
In any case, when the update is pushed shortly, I hope that Gemstones compatibility should be working as intended.
Thanks again for narrowing down the mods that caused this!
