The mod completely broke down
No matter what i do, no matter where i put the mod, no matter what mods i use or load or whatever, this bug glitches planet generation every each time, rambling about some sort of object and starting position.

Could not execute post-long-event action. Exception: System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object

im having the same issues

It's a config problem, one of the updates added a new section that wasn't initialized properly.

To fix it, go to your Config folder (approximately C:\Users\~yourself~\AppData\LocalLow\Ludeon\Rimworld\Config) and find the one for RealRuins, likely called Mod_1552146295_RealRuins_Mod.xml if you installed it via steam.

The line that's causing the problem is

<planetaryRuinsOptions IsNull="True" />

so delete that line before you try to generate a planet again.

UPD: Find the solution in comments on github! You need to delete that config file
entirely "1552146295_RealRuins_Mod.xml" and reload (deactivate+unsubscribe than subscribe+activate) actual version of mod.

My path - i deactivated mod - close game - delete file at "...\AppData\..." - start game - activate mod - restart - aaand its fixed!
