Confusion Concerning the Name of Iska's "World at War" mod
There seems to be some confusion between this mod and one of a similar name published by Iska. I wanted to provide this information to hopefully clarify the issue. Both Isak and I pulished different mods with a similar name. Iska published first, and when I noticed this fact, I altered the name of my mod family to hopefully reduce confusion.

Background: In the Spring of 2018, I started working on a family of mods that I called, “The World at War.” I took the title for these mods from a documentary series I’d seen over the years of the same name, as a tribute to a program I’d enjoyed so much over the years.

These documentaries also seemed to capture the flavor of this mod family, which was a rework of the game to better reflect the dynamics of global conflict in the 20th century. More information concerning these documentaries:

The scope of my mod family was quite extensive. The list below shows the separate mods of the WAW family, their zipped size, the number of Steam slides, and the date they were initially published:

- SMAN’s World at War (21 MB, 84 slides): 11/11/2018
- Unique Units (25 MB, 77 slides): 11/11/2018
- End at La Belle Époque (<1MB, 3 Slides): 11/11/2018
- End in the Great War Era (<1MB, 3 Slides): 11/11/2018
- End in the WW2 Era (<1MB, 3 Slides): 11/11/2018
- End in the Cold War Era (<1MB, 3 Slides): 11/11/2018
- The War to End All Wars (WW1 Scenario, 21 MB, 73 slides): 11/11/2018
- Modern Terrain Improvements (5MB, 19 slides): 12/25/2018
- Irregular Troops (2MB, 19 slides): 1/19/2019
-The War in Europe (WW2 Scenario, 33MB, 93 Slides): 3/21/2019

All-in-all, about 80MB of compressed content, and over 370 Steam slides. As hard as I tried, not all mods were ready for release on 11/11/18 (the 100th anniversary of the end of WW1), but all were under development in the summer/fall of 2018. The WW2 scenario was completely rewritten, starting in December, as part of my effort to build a reusable scenario management engine.

About 2 weeks before I published the first group of mods (late October), I logged into the workshop on Steam and noticed the “MOST POPULAR ITEMS in the past week” area of the website. In it, Iska's “World at War” mod was featured. I was mortified, as I had already put in 500+ hours into an entire family of mods with the same name, and another 100+ hours into the Steam slides. I knew this would cause confusion, so I rebranded the entire family of mods by adding my Steam name to the titles to differentiate. It was too much trouble to rework all the code/slides at that point. The main reason “Modern Terrain Improvements” and “Irregular Troops” mods weren’t completed on 11/11/2018 is that I was spending so much time reworking mods and slides.

I was/am fairly sure that most players should be able to tell the difference. I'm hoping that no one misunderstands what happened, as it was simply two different modders coming up with two different mods that had an overlapping name. However, Iska's mod was published first. This is why I changed the name of my mod family to "SMAN's World at War."

Hopefully, this helps explain things. Thanks.
