"Another suggestion I hope you might consider: let the Medical Room increase Stamina. Stamina is a health-related value and I think it would just perfectly fit in.
As the Medical Room needs O² to fill up your oxygen and energy to fill up your energy, maybe it might also be a good idea to require something for the Medical Room to quickly increase your Stamina. Maybe a new resource, a healing fluid like Bacta from the StarWars-Universe? Just don't call it Bacta. Maybe let us grow some Aloe Vera and mix it with water so it creates a Aloe Vera-Bottle which can be used in Medical Rooms to fill up Stamina? Or something alike?
Maybe think about giving the Player a even better reason to use it instead of just "camp-sitting" for Stamina. Maybe make Stamina only rise to 50% by sitting/standing while the Medical Room can increase it to 100%. (Or sit-standing to 100% and using the Medical Room buffs it to like 120% or something, giving a nice buff-feeling)."
Example
Hunger at different levels: I feel full, I feel well fed, to I feel hungry, I need to eat something, I'm starving
Hydration: I feel hydrated, to I need a drink, I'm thirsty.
Stamina: I feel energized, I feel well rested, I'm winded, I'm light headed.
Obviously these can be changed but repersent a flavor of words to use.
I don't know exactly how will work the new T° system, this will probably help.
But we need to try to make pressurized area mandatory and make that we can't stand too much time outside our base / ship without trouble.
Some ideas :
- Keeping helmet closed increase fatigue.
- Need to have o2 to eat / drink. Or the need to open your helmet and have breathable O2.
Then you have to go back in your cockpit or pressurized area to eat / drink. (yes I know astronaut can drink inside the combination, but they can't stay days outside without trouble).
- Maybe if you can disable the auto drink / poo / feed and you can only do that when you interact with your toilet / bed / ... And you need a breathable atmosphere for that. This meen that you need a real base to eat and not only your cockpit (option disabled by default).
Actually I play with the "no helmet" mod, this mean that I litterally can't do anything outside my ship if I'm not on earth. This make a real challenge. I build a module on earth, take them to orbit to build my base. Once I have the basic function in my base I can go there (o2, medical room, air vent, o2 generator). It could be interesting to have something like this with this mod, but no so extreme (I can only stay few seconds outside).
But we probably need to see how will work the new survival update :)
Guess this would perfectly fit in as a warning as food and water are consumed at 30 with 20 being a nice warning "hey, you ran out of food/water!".
I would like to mimic the vanilla bars more closely but I have to be careful of optimizations, the way I'm drawing on the screen can cause performance issues if it updates too often and we want to make sure this mod never lags peoples games :)
Them how about replicate wolf meat and sabiroid meat? You know, it's possible to grow living animal tissue in lab conditions and in the future, this can even be automated
