Helping to test Daily Needs Mk5
1.) Go to the Github page and click the green button on the right that says Clone or Download.

2.) Click Download ZIP - Its about 170mb.

3.) Open windows file explorer, in the path bar at the top put this in: - %AppData%\SpaceEngineers\Mods\

4.) Extract the ZIP to this directory, so you should have a new folder in that directory called "DailyNeedsMk5-master" now.

5.) Launch Space Engineers and it'll show up in your mod list as a local mod.

From there you can comment on the project board at Notion.so for the things we have up: -

Raise an issue on Github if you encounter a bug thats not listed and want to give more information: -

I have just installed the mod, I have used text hud api, but I have nothing at screen (fatigue, ...).
Is there something special to do ?

Nope, should run just like the current one does, are there any errors if you hit alt-f11?

Also, are you in Survival mode? It won't work in creative.

no errors, I have the organics materials, the building from the mod, but nothing at screen to display information about the mod.
I have create a new game, in survival, with only DNMK5 and text hud...
Maybe I have something to check in the config file ?
Or maybe it's because I run the game on Linux ? But I have no problem with the actual version.

When you place the mini kitchen it appears like a large block, once it"s completed it's show the small block version.
If you have emergency food on you, the "eating sound" doesn't stop. (i didn't test with other food). And ofc your food lvl doesn't go up, it stay at 50.

I'M AN IDIOT !!! Earlier i wrote change potassium to salt because salt = potassium + chlorite witch is not true, sorry for making such a Idiotic mistake

To be honest re-creating the whole voxels/textures/physical items/sbc/scripts etc etc. (which is a lot of work) just to change a name doesn't really interest me :D

Its not about just changing name, its more about adding a new mechanic (witch for you is probably worst) of water purification and chem manufacturing, well you may at least add it to "maybe" list

P.S. hears a bug for you, miniaturized ice refiner (or something like that) doesn't utilize the conveyor system, don't know about the large one, oh in i liked the "Protein sequencer" beater

Yeah new mechanic ideas are welcome but not something I'll be looking into at this stage. Also I don't want to add more complexity to the water chain for the sake of complexity if that makes sense? One of the major issues with the current version of DN is convoluted production chains just for the sake of 'adding an extra step'.

If I was going to implement salt it would have to have its own stand-alone game mechanic outcome if that makes sense?

For example Ice goes to Gasses & Water, Organic goes to Food creation and alternate Oxygen production. The voxels we currently use are used in more complex food creation in the guise of adding more 'nutrients'.

Now you could say adding salt in the water production chain would be option but I don't think it really 'adds' anything interesting.

The idea of it being used in some sort of chemical engineering is more interesting, what sort of products would be made at the end, maybe combined with something?

Thanks for the bug report, I'll take a look, I know there are a few bugs with those I have to fix :)

P.S. i just remembered one, resting in bed drains stamina to 0

And in my case coffee drains to 100 if I have more then that (after laying in bed for example).

I've just installed the beta. Can I swap out Daily Needs Mk 4 with Mk 5 in an existing game?
