This is a very dynamic mod and I am only one person so if you want my help troubleshooting an issue, you will have to pull your weight as well. I will need as much information as possible. What mods you're running, what server settings you're using, ini settings, etc

Very Important:
Most issues will require me to look through your log file, ensure you have been running the mod with
ErrorLogLevel=Debug
and ensuring your server has been producing logs by running it with the commandline
-servergamelog
Info on setting up your server to produce log files can be found at the wiki[ark.gamepedia.com] or your host will be able to help you.

Hey! I am highly interested in this mod, but I have a question. The server I'm running uses a difficulty override mod called " Difficulty 8++ ". Does this mod override other difficulty mods when it comes to the maximum tame level limit? 8++ allows wild dinos to spawn up to level 240. On the other note, if this overrides that, and we tame something above the natural level limit (150 I believe) - for example if we find a 180 or 186 and tame it, would it then start to lose loyalty even with the 8++ mod?
Sorry if the description is a bit spazzy.

making higher levels untamable is much better than just having it kill you after you go through all that trouble

or you could make it so if the dino's food drops below like 80%, it would start killing to get food

idk about herbivores though

@Ancalagon I'm not sure how those difficulty mods work. If they just change the OverrideOfficialDifficulty setting then it will interact with my mod fine. Setting my mod INI DesiredLevelRange to 240-240 would allow you to tame and keep 240s without them turning.

@ST34K4S4URUSR3KT The Loyalty system is in place to stop people from keeping high level tames because they trivialize the game. The reason I had to use it is because there are certain dinos I can't prevent people from taming like Wyverns for example.
Does the mod override my difficulty setting on local/dedicated? My setting is 1, but Dino max level seems to be 300.

It will override it to an extent if you use the default settings. If you read how the Lever Range Enforcer works, you'll understand better than what I can explain in a comment. The DesiredLevelRange is the INI setting that is changing levels

alright so what if you make it so higher level dinos are harder to maintain if that is possible
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, I'm having a lot of fun with this. Allthough I'd like to know how the levels of the brutal dinos are calculated. I'd love to lower desired level range to 100-, however I don't know if the brutal dinos will still be high level. Any suggestions?

@ST34K4S4URUSR3KT I already have an option for players to set whatever max tame level they want, I don't know why you are so adament about letting people keep above max tame level dinos. If you want to play with higher level dinos just increase the DesiredLevelRange to what ever you want.

@Allmächtiges Buddhabrot Glad you're enjoying it. So the Brutal Dino levels are based on a couple of factors, the main being your Ecological Threat (I'll let you work out what that is), I also use your server settings as a normaliser. The higher XP, Harvest and Taming Speed you have, the higher more Ecoligical Threat I use (higher level dinos). The last factor is the amount of victories and defeats your tribe has, if you keep getting defeated, I scale back the levels slightly, if you are victorious the majority, I scale the levels up slightly.
Keep in mind the Brutal Dino levels will always conform to the OverrideOfficialDifficulty you have set. If it is 50, the lowest level you will see from them is level 50, and they will increment in 50s as well.
Sorry to bother you again, I've been playing the mod with my friend for 4+ hours now, and we just can't get the Claim Block to work. Every time we place it, it says either "out of claim area" or "you don't have a claim block placed" or something like that, even though we're inside the claimed area. This error occured after the 0.3.2 patch, ever since then, the claim block isn't working.

This might sound dumb, but did you try to place the structure even though the text says you are out of range?
Sometimes it can take a couple of seconds for the text to update but it still lets you place it
Yeah, we tried everything. We placed the Block everywhere on the south part of the Island. We can never place anything and if we can place something, it despawns as soon as the one that placed it walks away for a couple of metres.

I just posted on the main page. I found an issue with Claim Areas, I'm trying to fix it as fast as I can

An interesting mod that I just started on our server. I have a couple of questions and I am not sure if these are server setup errors, bugs, or working as intended.
1) I placed a Claim Block which had a 1 hour timer. Everything in the claim area was removed after an hour. Is this the bug you were referring to? If this is a bug I will get the server settings.
2) How does your mod affect rafts? Can you build rafts and structures on rafts?

Sorry for being daft but what is the proper heading name for the ini changes? Does it really matter?

[TCsBA] is the header for the settings. More info can be found in the Configuration thread
