Hi.
Thanks for Feedback.
Yes they are not working like Viveport or Oculus games. Will add it after I finished the dvd case and the new Menu Panel I am currently working on. I'm nearly done with it and now that I know someone wants to use the non steam apps the priority of it in the to do list is higher.

I have released a new version, HomeLoader 0.77. Please try the new version. You should be able to start Non-Steam Games, Viveport and Oculus (Revive) Games from the new HomeLoader Menu which can be opened with the upper menu button on your Vive controller. To be able to start these Games (for Steam Games not needed) you need to select SteamVR as SteamVR Home app in the HomeLoader SteamVR Start Settings. Please come back with some feedback, thanks.

It does still not work with the panels on the wall. Currently only in the new HomeLoader menu (Top Menu Button on the controller). The menu is new in version 0.77. I made an mistake during GitHub Upload and 0.76 is still shown on the top, you need to scroll down a bit to see the new 0.77. And don't forget to select SteamVR as Home App. You can see the menu that I mean in the third picture here on steam.

I have the latest version all working great, do like the look of the new menu but it didn't work for me, do I need vrub? I will try again later to see if there is anything I missed, keep up the good work

No VRUB is only needed for the VR Overlay and has nothing to do with the Environment.

There is one thing you can check. I added an log File that will be create if a non steam game, Viveport or Oculus game is started. Please check if it is created if you try to start a new game. But you need to check it directly after you clicked on the game because it will be deleted after exiting the Environment or SteamVR. You can find it here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\SteamVR\tools\steamvr_environments\game\steamtours_addons\homeloader\temp. If the log File is created then it should also start the game. If not and the file is missing then it means that the function is not started correctly and I need to work on it.

Yeah its the overlay im missing sorry couldnt think of the name for it, everything else works fine except the games on the wall, to launch a non steam app i have to launch a desktop window in vr then use your homeloader app and click on game page mode, if i do it that way they work fine, ive looked at the vr utility belt github but i think i need to apply for the full application. Thanks

So after some googling I figure I have to recompile the vrub .sln file and go from there.

Yes if you want to use the HomeLoader VR Overlay that uses VRUB then yes. But you can also try to get it on Steam, it's already here but not public. If you want an key go to the VRUB Discord. There is an form to request an Steam key for it. You will find the Discord link at the bottom of this reddit post. If you cannot use Discord then send me an PM and I can send you the direct link to the key request form.

Well I tried compiling it, I kept getting errors maybe out of my depth there, I've applied for the key but both the vrub discord and the website have not been updated or commented on since 2017 so my hopes are not high, looks like I'll have to wait for the environment wall to be fully working.

Contacted the owner on vrub and its no longer being worked on so im all out of luck lol thanks for the replies ill have to wait to see what the future of homeloader is like.

I think there was a misunderstanding. You only need VRUB for the VR Overlay, that's this one. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nPRDzz1BpaI.

The HomeLoader Menu in the Environment should work out of the box for all games. But SteamVR needs to be selected as home app, no VRUB needed. I will make a new Video soon showing how that works.

Make sure to download version 0.77. It's not on the top, scroll down a bit.

Ok ive fixed it and the menu looks great, ive noticed tho if i enable dvd cases in homeloader app then the homeloader menu does not appear, is there an option to change the views of the homeloader menu for example im only using 2 rows, steam apps and non steam apps, but i want to see more apps on the menu. very good work so far ; )

Good to hear. Ok it should still be visible if dvd case are enable, so that's a bug and was not intended. Will have a look at it. No currently there is only one row that can be scrolled up and down. But thanks for the suggestion, will see if I can add that later.
