You're main gun would then become your offhand while the two hander as your main
Valid point. I'll do something about that exploit in the future.
@れPURE い.億KiotheCloud四.
Thanks for you suggestion, but if you switch weapons, the aiming is already cancelled, so pawns already need to re-aim. Also, your suggestion isn't about improving compatibilty, but actually about improving simple sidearms, so this isn't really the place for that suggestion.
Thanks for your reference, but the problem isn't that I can't get compatibility for simple sidearms working, the problem is that for me it seems to be working fine, but some people complained about the compatibility. So right now I know there might be something wrong, but I can't reproduce it. That's why I'm interested in properly reported player feedback regarding issues with Simple Sidearms, so I don't need to spend hours testing to find any incompatibilities.
seems that ther's an issue - atm offhand weapon "stays offhand" while switching weapons. If u switch to melee, dualwielding will be divided to separate SidearmSlots. And there's a glitch that can lead to weapon dessapearance because of described above.
Would be very cool if dualwielding could be saved in a single slot, so it's possible to have for ex. shotgun, dual pistols and a knife
Srry 4 my english
cheers!
That's impossible without completely overhauling Simple Sidearms. SS just switches the main weapon, and has no notion of any off-hand weapon, and this isn't something I can fix with a simple patch.
As for the "weapons disappearing", I'll have to look into that. I tried reproducing it before, but I couldn't. However, I've received some reports recently that should help me reproduce it. If you have any info that might help, for instance the exacts steps that I should take to make a weapon disappear, don't hesitate to provide it.
Considering dissapearance - I ran on this bug when pawn "Where'sMyWeapon-ed" and had full slots. Also offhand weapon sometimes disappear in ui during switching weapons using SS. Will try to reproduce.
@SonOfNitrous
I've sent you a friend request so I can ask you more about the issue you're having.
For reproducing it, (and this is with any variety of melee/ranged be it modded or vanilla):
1) Equip a ranged mainhand, just through right click and all that.
2) After it's been equipped and registered, I'll select another weapon (ranged or melee in this case) and equip it as offhand.
3) After that I'll select a melee weapon and have it equipped as a sidearm.
4) At this point if I manually switch between the ranged or melee loadouts, the offhand weapon will disappear. And I do check the inventory to see if it's still there. That said, as I type this out I wonder if RPG inventory could somehow be eating the offhand?
Thanks a lot for your clear step-by-step instructions. It proves for me that it indeed must be some 3rd mod that's conflicting. When I follow the steps, the sidearm weapon just switches with the main hand weapon like how it's supposed to and nothing disappears.
I'll definitely test now if RPG inventory has anything to do with it.
Edit: I tested it with RPG inventory and it worked perfectly fine with it. Could you do me a favour and press ctrl+f12 just after you reproduce the issue to share your log? Place the link you'll get here.

It's probably more useful than you expect. Aside from any errors (which there aren't any), it also gives your mod list and a complete overview of what code your mods patch.
Edit: looking at you log, it could well be Pick up and Haul. Not sure though. I'll surely investigate that when I have time.
Removed Pick up and Haul. No more disappearing weapon. Good call.
