as this mod had become starbound as it was good in beta, why not add other things of the beta too, I miss the idea of having a tech to invoke a mecha, and also some other bosses, starbound was before a game that took you through of the gameplay by a pleasant experience, that made us feel like we were playing the long awaited terraria 2, but now starbound only ties you in a chair and points you a weapon threatening you to be space jesus besides doing gridding to face a boss whose reward is totally rare, so I also suggest some terrarium features, such as events and invasions, and others like gaining minerals and other resources like better weapons after killing bosses, and equipment that gives you advantages, anyway, I hope you like the idea

The plan is to make the progression system ans gameplay feel closer to Terraria

Good luck man. You might need to get a team to help you get things underway. This seems like ALOT of work for one man to do.

Compatibility patches if possible.
Could you go into more detail as to what is planned? You said like Terraria, but how exactly? Do you have a thesis of some kind written down as to what you'll do with this mod as you add more?

In the theme of sandbox, could you have an option to make all the blocks, furniture, or other items that can run out be able to be used forever without running out? It's just something I thought would be cool.
I do have one suggestion, how about making story NPCs appear in their respective settlements for their quests they offer you in the vanilla game? For example Tonoauc appears in avian settlements to give his blessings,Koichi appears in Hyoltl settlements for his side quests, Nuru appears in Floran settlements for her sidequests etc.? I think this could work.

Any chance on implementing a mode where you have to earn your ship in some way? If you're ditching the main story, to me it seems kind of silly that you just have a ship for some reason.

Or, heck, just ditch the ship altogether. Pay for passage between worlds or live the life of a hitchhiker or hobo, bumming rides across the galaxy.

That's a pretty tall order don't you think?
this mod need to be compatible with FU

+1 for compatibility patch with FU, as a separate mod

I saw you were working on a mountain planet from one of the mod's images. If you plan on making planet types based on the planetary mini-biomes, maybe you could add a compatibility patch for the Allow Parallax Transition mod? It'd integrate pretty well.

I disagree with this idea, to be honest. The ship's an essential part of Starbound. You can't just get rid of it or have to pay a fee to move between planets. A lot of the game's mechanics are focused on it - not just crew members and space encounters, but even player spawn and data are associated with ships.

Having to explore the universe without a ship will also make the gameplay more tedious and frustrating than fun, so it's a lot of work for little reward, in my opinion.

Maybe rather than make only boss spawns, some bosses you make teleporter coordinates for like with the Outpost. Depending on the ore tier, will make it that tier level of difficulty.

I always liked how Terraria challenged you as a player by forcing you to use your powers as a player, making the boss face you at your most powerful.
But I also love how vanilla Starbound took you to the boss at *it's* most powerful in its lair. I hope we can see both of these neat ways to challenge players with boss battles in the latter development of the mod.

This idea might be straight impossible, but while playing the mod I noticed that even though I was in a fiery star system, all the ice planets in the system had less tiered difficulty than the frozen star ones. I'm pretty sure that the difficulty tier is based on the planet class, but I'd like to see it become star class, so I can get a larger variety of worlds with end game gear and content than just the magma planets. (Granted, this would mean you could exploit things by just rushing to a fiery star asap. Still, maybe the idea'll spark something)

The EASEL stand in the outpost is, by default, closed. Is it possible to make it default to open, and is there any way to fix this problem by altering the universe folder?
