Bug Reports
Bug reports thread! You know the drill

Ground Rules:
  • If a problem is listed in the known issues section below then you don't need to tell me about it.
  • If you can, please include either the full arma3.rpt (Arma 3 Log file)[community.bistudio.com] from when a bug happened, or a relevant snippet from it. The game RPT files can be found either in your Appdata at C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Arma 3, or sometimes in your root Arma 3 directory at C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Arma 3. Please note that rpt files are useless if you are using the -nologs launch parameter! You can upload your .rpt files to Dropbox, Pastebin, Google Drive, etc. or post sections of them here using code tags :

  • Please search the thread and the workshop comments section prior to reporting any problems as someone may have beaten you to it. If you see a bug report for your problem, but it's old or has been marked as resolved then you may comment on it or create a new bug report. (It's not common, but bugs can come back from the dead)

Known Issues
If you have any suggestions on how to fix a bug please let me know!

Fixable (Priority 1)
  • Ammunition type isn't shown on HUD (weapon ammo element) for SPAR 16S 150Rnd Tracer Drum
  • Eject option not working on Hellcat
  • Both doors action menu item & user action not working on Kajman

Back-burner (Priority 2)
  • Sometimes mp players who are already in the MH9 can swap seats onto a folded bench (may not be fixable, possibly lag/desync related) If this happens, you can simply unfold the bench via action menu to correct the visual error, or ask the player to get off of that bench.
  • Projectile Tracers script rewrite (fix some rounds not being tracked, tracers not turning off with hotkey, etc.)
    To be resolved with HUD rewrite (next major update)
  • Sometimes the HUD unit tracker doesn't correctly mark civilians (identifies them as enemy).
    To be resolved with HUD rewrite (next major update)


Unfixable / Waiting for (game) update / not caused by NT
  • Sometimes players can get "frozen" in place when climbing with Enhanced Movement. If this happens to you, press the stamina reset key
  • Some HUD features are still a little buggy (sometimes units will be tracked even though you do not have LOS with them, units in direct view are sometimes not marked, etc.). This should hopefully improve as the causes for this issue are better understood and the unit tracking scripts are adjusted accordingly.
  • HUD unit tracking may cause a little lag in large / populated battlefields. Try lowering your unit tracking range or turning the unit tracker off in performance-intensive situations. If you experience substantially higher lag while using the hud, taking off your tactical glasses then putting them back on may resolve the problem.
  • Sometimes you may get an error referring to cba_fnc_keyHandlerDown.sqf when using the HUD (this especially occurs in the eden editor). The issue seems to be on CBA's side and I'm unaware of any possible fixes at this time...

Feature Planning

Planned for Next Feature Update
  • Additional NSense weapon mags and tweaks (TBD)
  • Resolve Hellcat & Kajman door issues

Planned for Next Major Update
  • NT HUD total rewrite
    Most of these changes will be to the back end, but it will allow me to create a better framework for optimizing and adding new features to the NT HUD. It's by far the most popular feature of the addon and needs some TLC.
    • Change tracking toggle to cycle—cycle from tracking all (including civ), to tracking non-civ, to tracking 3D waypoints only.
    • Add multi-color 3D waypoints (different trigger characters for different colors)
    • Display the waypoint icon used on the map next to the 3D waypoint
    • Hotkey to place 3D waypoint & map marker on the current crosshair position (like tactical ping)
    • Fix civilians not being correctly identified by the unit tracker (sometimes identifies them as enemy, esp. when placed by Zeus)

Possible Soon™
  • In-game NTweaks config menu
    • Configure the position of HUD elements
    • Change HUD element colors, unit tracker colors
    • Change default tracking range, default FNV brightness, enable / disable tracking by default, etc.
    • Toggle automatic activation of FNV and set dark hours when FNV will be activated.
    • Configure stamina tweaks settings (sliders for sway and stamina removal amount)
  • Map tools
    • Line drawing tool
    • Map trig tools (measure point to point distance, angle / asimuth)
    • Searching for more feature ideas to include
  • Squad-mate helmet cam live feed
  • Simple magazine repacking field tool

I have a 2560x1080 Screen and the Range and Vitals gets cut off, is there any way to adjust that upward?
