1. Get Coyote's character inline with her original DMS persona. i.e. she's a bit of a hard ass (keeping the scar on her face to serve as a reminder of her foolishness), she likes gingers, Paco is the guy she loves, etc. No "YAY's" when you choose to still hang out with Annie after you find out her true identity. And i'd also say i'd like not to flirt with her because of the way DMS left off with the character. Some relationships are better left at "FRIENDS" haha.
2. The summoned monster in the ritual room could probably use a different avatar (it be cool if you could make your own that fits your description, I liked that)
3. Give more options to the way our character responds to npc dialogue and vice versa. Similar to DMS, but hopefully (and I know this will be more creative writting effort) leading to different areas of discussion. Alot of the time, no matter how u responded in DMS, it would lead to the same conversation outcome. Mr. Kluwe dialogue was notorious for this.
4. I had issues with using Doc Wagon kits on squad members when they got killed/disabled.
5. If you could, can you possible expand on the spells? I like the mage and had this thought whilst playing your campaign. What if Petrify would permanently petrify enemies (kill) on crit if you were standing on the biggest ley line? Stuff like that.
6. Change the hideout door positions haha. You enter through the north east and exit in the north west of Coyotes wall lol.
7. If could, perhaps work on unique sites. i.e. don't use the tutorial zone of DMS as the market place of your story. Perhaps an underground area? I really enjoyed what you made and am confident that you can find people who are gifted in map making to help you out!
8. I'm not so sure about the importance of having Zoex (the stalker who eventually becomes a merchant of the unique gear you created - good one by the way!) so early in the game. I didn't get to use her or find any of the ingredients. Then at the end of this chapter I went to her and she had all these new toys you cooked up. Here introduction was somewhat exciting, but then that deflated once I found out she's just a unique merchant.
I'll post more ideas if I can think em up.
1. Moisture Missile is currently reworking all of the text in the module, I have given him creative liberties, so I am sure that the text will improve by a 100 times when he is done. I will mention the textual update in the patch notes when they're done.
2. There is no way (currently) for us authors to import new models into the editor. Maybe in the future when the modders have done their magic.
3. That is something I need to work on, but writing dialogue is very time-consuming. It is most def something that is planned as polishing for the future.
4. That must be an engine issue. I have not changed the way docwagon works in this module. You should report this in the game client bugs section.
5. Very interesting idea. I am currently using the Street Samurai Catalog content pack to make more weapons and cyberware available. I think tracker.bpm is also working on adding new spells.
6. Well you go a little bit through the walls when changing between the flats. ;-)
7. Chapter 2 will have a lot more unique sites than chapter 1. Re-using the maps from DMS allows me to create content quickly, though - map making is very time consuming (and frustrating sometimes).
8. Zoex... awww Zoex...
Other than that the maps looked nice, maybe a more elaborate market with a bit more "darkness", run-down stalls, alleys and the like.
HTH
Lastly, when I talk to the Johnson, I feel like my Troll samurai has become a wide-eyed schoolgirl. You might want to think about getting him and the main character for , sounding more like themselves.
I’m not going to rehash what’s been said about the difficulty of the enemies as compared to Coyote or even sub-optimal characters, but I will say that the opposition needs some balancing.
One last thing. I didn’t think of myself as a grammar nazi, but by Dunklezahn’s charred remains! The word nuyen doesn’t take a capital N. Check out your text, it turned me off your content pack something fierce.
Yes, your mod would be more intense if you add some variety to the way NPC talk, all is about on the same "Hey chummer, big deal for ya". Just implementing §charname§ in the dialogue for people who know my char from previous campain.
Glad to meet Coyote again, but, OMG, couldn't she practise between runs ? She should not use a shotgun but a remote device to call a bomb storm upon ennemies...she would still hit everything around but have a chance to hit a mob.
As i said on a thread about the main campain, when you play very hard you bang your head on the wall each time you have compulsory allies. I just expect never to meet again Harlequin and Sir "Useless" Ghost so far as i hated their unskillfullness.
If possible with the editor, don't feel forced to use generic profiles. You may pretend Coyote had some training. "Hey chummer, now me better with da gun, won't hit your butts as often, take five, buddy !"
