example 1: Killing a runner for the Riffruff gang apparently does nothing but gives you one karma point. They don't even acknowledge that you've helped them. I appreciate the karma farming but I'd like to know they know I did them a favor: Maybe even a reward? I DID kill someone for them.
example 2: killing a ganger for the corp agent. Same thing. Apparently you get one karma and there's not even a dialogue option of thanks or a reward for murdering in their name.
example 3: I had to do the "junk" quest for the tech guy three times before there was an aknowledgement in his dialogue (It just kept repeating the request). After that I finally got to use his matrix jack point to enter an empty matrix screen with absolutely NOTHING to do. You can't even leave the entrance room though it shows a second exit, a data node, and a cpu node. What is the point of this?
example 4: You apparently have to gain "green moon reputation points" in order to get the patrons to give you any information. However there is no information on what these are, how to get them, and how many you actually have. And apparently you can spend them somehow because I asked someone that I'd just got the option for a second time and it was greyed out.
example 5: Why is it almost impossible to beat 8-ball in pool? I have all stats except str and magic six or higher (I'm a decker so many are needed) and yet I win on the fifth or sixth game. THEN if I make the mistake of leaving the dialogue I have to beat him AGAIN to have him answer the same damned questions I forgot to ask last time.. to the tune of another hundred nuyen or so.
example 6: if you ask the riffruff contact anything he attacks you with a spirit and two shotgun toting grunts. Yet he had a "speech" bubble above his head. Are you supposed to kill him? I'm playing where I'm kind of on the ganger's side but I have to kill their contact? That makes no sense but there seems to be no other option. Also, there's not even a request by the corp agent to do this so you at least get access or information from them for doing it.
These are all off the top of my head. I enjoyed playing the game and really liked where this was going... but it was very confusing and seemed to be a lot of dead ends.
Bug - Chapter 3
Hideout: Matrixsounds - ICE moving - "leaks" into the normal world.
Tacoma: No Sound for weapons.. had that big fight with the Triads and the Yaks and there weren't any gun sounds. And no sound of footsteps either...
Other stuff:
Is there a save after fighting the yakuza/triads? Or do I have to go for that battle AGAIN when you're done with the next part of the chapter?
Not sure if I like the new weapon modes.. I mean, "blinding" someone temporarily by shooting at him with a gun? Really? Does Strength work as recoil compensation (like it kinda does in P&P)? Why isn't there any aimed shot with to-hit bonus for Rikshaw's gun? About every firing mode she can do reduces her to-hit, but she's unable to aim carefully??
Considering the amount of money that can be made from doing every available run once, the cyberware is quite overpriced. I mean, that office data steal run from Mr.Johnson nets about.. 10k or so? Are we supposed to run that multiple times to equip our char?
Thanks for the report, Mike - I'll look into the issues!
I've noticed the RiffRuff Contact quest never clears in Chapter 2, even after killing the Contact twice and going through the computer. Is there more to it than just killing him for Info you don't have Rep-points with the Gangers?
Martial Artist Adept - could you implement the "Killing Hands Fix" (https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=166924755&searchtext=) so a MA can use Killing Hands with the unarmed combat attack styles, please.
I started in Everett with the "find a way to talk to Hansen" objective. There was no way to get the information about that Ashmore Corp guy talking to the Riffruffer's boss. Not sure who gave that information that lead to the objective, but I think I tried to ask all people availableand it just didn't show up. With Quickness 6 and Intelligence 2 (or so.. Orc MA, so Int isn't needed or logical to be there.. ^^) I tried about 15 times to beat Eightball and didn't succeed..
After killing Hansen and his Minion I got the "talk to your friends about the run" objective. But when I got to the hideout, all I could do was give Annie money to build up her - not so usefull - minimatrix and the objective had disappeared. Upgraded CPU, Memory and a white ICE - noting. Went back to Everett (got "talk to friends..." again), then to the hideout again - nothing, except for the objective disappearing again. Paid for CPU 2 Upgrade, went to everett again and back to hideout. This time the objective was completed.
I'd say you should make some objectives a bit clearer, so the player doesn't has to GUESS what is expected from him.
Tacoma - no footstep sounds / gunshot sounds in the combat again. Running around on large parts of the map to find the opponents was kinda boring though ^^ and some kind of counter - "three more Yaks to do.." - would be appreciated.
There's also a severe lack of cover on some parts of the map. There's lots of stuff that LOOKS as if it would be usefull in giving cover, but isn't.. broken cars, benches, bus stops etc - none of that helps against being hit..
Beyond that, the only Bias I have is the MGs (not SMGs) are overpowered. I've been crit'd so much that I've lost the desire to play this for a while. The enemies have access to some powerful magic that you hired runners do not (besides guns). Like a heal that does +71hp every time, even when they don't take that much damage from a single attack.... ever. The most I've ever done was about 48hp. LOVE the new cyberware and what not.... just need a bit more tweeking. Keep on tweeking Chummer! Your sitting on Gold, just needs some more refining!
well, I guess with these attributes I wouldn't play pool very successfully either. Good thing that this is only an optional goal!
When you kill Hansen and you go back to your hideout chapter 3 starts with some new vidphone messages... Read the messages that appear carefully and you won't be confused. Since you got to Tacoma I guess everything worked as expected.
I really want to point out that reading the in-game messages that appear is very important in this module.
I don't know why Tacoma does not have any footsteps or combat sounds, I set it up no differently from other regions... I guess it is a game client bug.
The cover that spawns when the mob war starts does indeed give cover (you can see that because your character goes into cover pose), but due to a game client bug the "cover icon" is not displayed. Rest assured that the cover does work even though no icon is displayed.
Thanks for the feedback, I will take it all into account.
Only very few npcs should have MG, but quite a few tough ones have assault rifles. Assault rifles in SSC hurt a lot, so I will see what I can do to balance that out. If you are indeed fighting against someone with an MG, I recommend taking cover, kiting them around corners and then focussing them with everything you have before they can unload a salvo on you.
SSC exclusivity has only been added in 2.01 (the most recent version as of this moment) so I am sure that some encounters will need to be rebalanced.
Could you let me know which MG wielding maniac critted you so bad? :)
Museum - Dr Hansen dialogue. The bodyguard makes a final comment before the fight starts but Dr. Hansens portrait is shown.
The first time I returned from Everett to the safe house only the "standard" setting with Coyote in her room was loaded. After reloading the level Coyote waits for me at the door and autoengages a dialogue.
Vidphone - from the beginning of Chapter 3 a untracable call (AI friend) is visible on the answering machine. It is not selectable though before returning from the museum.
Annie's system upgrade - can you invest in more than one upgrade? The number behind the option (e.g. Data) didn't change after buying an upgrade but still shows (1).
