Next "crafting" mod suggestions.
Hey guys i need inspiration for the next "crafting mod" for either Bretonnia, Dark Elves or Lizardmen. If you want to help me and at the same time increase the chances of the faction you like to be next. then give me a lore-friendly theme suggestion and a new resource name etc. Remember that i can add unit recruitment, banners, diplomacy options and alot more through this, so doesn't have to be crafting only focused.

Yea Brettonia you could do blessed by the lady gifts of the lady things like that its common in auturian legends to go on quests for items so you could do like quest points or something could be the Arms of the Lady or something like that. Lizard men could be recoverd old items or restored old one items.

Maybe the bret. ressource isn't metals or litteral goods, but .. faith or .. Favor from the Lady :) Enough favor results in the Lady bestowing her blessings on you. Maybe let one of the options after a battle won also net you some favor?
Select buildings giving you favor - actions post-battle/winning decisive victories - maybe when you reach a new tier of chivalry you get a bag of favor too?

That said, the devs teasing the new FreeLC looks very Bretonian to me - that chalice is suspect! :P Maybe they're also thinking in these lines concerning crafting. or maybe its "just" some grail questing.

What do you guys think about this:

"Forge" name; Cult of The Lady
Resource used; Chivilary and a new one called "Faith"

It will include same stuff as this mod, but additionally have;
Political manipulation, "religion" spreading, crusading bonuses for all armies over like x amount turns for x amount of resource.
Banners/followers
Maybe some elite unit recruitment.

I think one for the Dinos would be cool. Call it Vaults of the Old Ones or something. Most lizardmen relics/weapons were artifacts left behind by the old ones. Could use a resource related to the old ones. Something like meditations, or maybe ancient stelae.

Lizardmen Crafting, definitely.

Brettonia is good, right now they're really underpowered with the new factions. A forge would be good for them

Ye, the smartest thing will be to see what CA wants to do with Bretonnia/lizardmen/skaven next patch before doing too much.

ill agree on the Lizardmen Crafting. One interesting way to implement it would be to add a new Ressource that can only be aquired by commandment level 5 (geomantic web lvl 5 in 2 nearby cities). Then you dont have to spend gold but still can't spam items. This would allow to have way stronger items as they are way harder to get by. This would make the underwhelming and almost irrelevant geomantic web way better. Just a suggestion thoght :D

Neither here nor there on the commandment thing. Could screw up some other mods like overhauls and such. I do agree with making some super rare ones that can only be accessed with an obscene amount of resource. Something around 600-800 imo. While lizardmen can use most of the artifacts left by the Old Ones, they have no clue how most of them work. So if something breaks, it's broken forever. I think that a good theme would be repairing broken tech that the Old Ones left behind, but they're only able to do so by interpreting their teachings.

Adding it to commandments would NOT make it incompatible with overhauls.

Still vote for Lizardmen Crafting. Scalybois need some love!
A very natural and quite easy thing to do would be to convert the Anvil of Vaul mod to fit with Dark Elves as well. I love the mod, but I prefer playing the Dark Elves, so I don't get to use it that often. Lorewise the Dark Elves worship Vaul as well, so there should be no conflict there. It should be a rather natural transition.

Bretonnia needs it pretty badly. Even with the update, Lyonese gets crushed almost immediately by Mousillon, Parravon and Carcassonne get crushed by the wood elves and beastmen, and even louen is stuck fighting greenskin incursions and marienburg. With the peasant cap set pretty low and knights being so expensive, they need all of the help they can get.

It'd be cool to see some items reduce peasant or knight upkeep, increase the peasant cap, or even summon the green knight temporarily. Even better, granting regeneration. As far as a loreful way to implement it, I have no clue. It could be interesting to see more items unlock as you control more and more of bretonnia, but that seems like it would be too much unnecessary work.

With resource management, I don't think it should cost chivalry. Bretonnia has enough things that cost chivalry (some tech, sacking, ransom, raiding, some buildings). A new resource sounds great though, something generated by maybe releasing/replenishing after a fight instead of executing-sort of like a reward for being the "good guy". Or it could be based on how many actual units you have left after battle-lets say you end up sacrificing 4 peasant units, you get 4 less of that resource.

I must say, I am enjoying the per turn accumulation of Ithilmar for the high elves. Could just follow that, but call if "favor"
