Uniform shadows are too dark
Compared to RHS units, which I'm sure many people would agree are the "baseline" for comparison- especially considering this mod utilizes it so heavily;

The 3CB Takistani Army and Police uniforms appear fine in the sunlight, but the shadows are WAY too dark, to the point of nearly being pitch black in a lighting situation where an RHS uniform looks fine still. I imagine this might be an issue with the _AS texture, because the vanilla AAF uniform that they are based on also seems unusually dark.

Not sure if Steam will let this work because I NEVER post like this, but I have a screenshot to demonstrate:

Not a lot I can do about it I am afraid. They are all reskins of the BIS AAF units. All I've done is change the texture, not the .rvmats or shadow LODs of the models. I'd be interested to see what happens if you put down an AAF soldier in that lineup to compare the shadow.

Here is another lineup that includes the original AAF.

The RHS models seem fine in these admittedly harsh conditions, but the vanilla uniforms and 3CB still appear too dark. If it can't be fixed by changes to the rvmat or _AS textures (That is, it's not a problem on the mod's side) then I'll just have to start investigating some sort of patch to adjust the lighting of the map itself.

It's driving me crazy lol

yeah, sorry. It does appear to be the underlying AAF model / .rvmat. There isn't much I can do. If I create a whole new .rvmat for it, using hidden material selections, then the unit loses all wound textures when shot.
