"10 jobs in one tick" error - bug or compatibility issue?
I am fairly certain this mod was causing some of my pawns to just stand still and fill my log with "10 jobs in one tick" errors, as soon as I disabled this mod it seems to have disappeared.

Here's the testing I've done:

- Pawn A was generating the 10 jobs per tick error, so I draft it, errors stopped (duh);
- Pawn B was carrying some steel (the error mentioned "Steel", and that specific pawn was the ONLY "place" where I had steel in my entire colony), so I force pawn B to drop it;
- I undraft Pawn A. Pawn A automatically tries to pick that steel up;
- I draft pawn A again, and use pawn B to pick that steel up again into it's inventory;
- I undraft pawn A again, errors reappears;

Since the pawn A was obviously trying to take steel from the inventory of pawn B I assumed this mod had something to do with it, so I saved the game immediately, removed this mod from the mod list, and launched Rimworld again. I tried to replicate the error as I had done before and there was no error anymore, no matter how hard I tried.

Could this be a compatibility issue with some other mod, or is this a bug?

Having the same issue. It seems to happen only when you've got a building you've set to construct, and you're lacking one of the resource to build it.

Yes, that was indeed the case. I was building the cooling tower from Rimatomics and was out of steel, except that one pawn that had some steel in their inventory. Still, I think using the resources from the inventory of other pawns shouldn't be something the mod should allow to happen, at most this mod should allow to build from the inventory of pack animals, but not other pawns as that clearly generates some issues.

I imagine the same method that the meals on wheels mod uses to get colonists to drop held food for each other could be used to make colonists drop resources in their inventory for buildings on the spot when called as well. Could very simply be based on "whether or not the colonist is assigned to building."

Or make it an option, but idk anything about coding so it might not be worth it to try to implement that!

Hummm I dunno... imagine a pawn is hauling something from the other side of the map into the storage, but then another pawn wants that item being hauled so the pawn hauling drops the item and then the builder has to move across the entire map to pick that up and then back to the building spot... I'd rather have the pawn do something else while the resource is being hauled...

And that would be even worse with mods like Pick Up And Haul and others that allow for pawns to pick stuff up even if not directly related to their current job.

it would be about the same code as what exists in mods such as "Meals on Wheels" like CAN'T MAN said, but applied to stuff oher than meals. I think there is a mod for that already, building from caravans, but I'm not sure...

I use this mod, PU&H and Jobs of Opportunity, probably not a good idea hahaha

Heh, I use the same mods actually xD

But yeah, having such a feature in this mod would cause some issues, as well as the inefficient pawn behaviour I mentioned :/ Pawns already waste too much time moving around, least we want to do is further contribute to that issue
