I somehow let it fly over my head that Venice is a BNW civ and therefore adding its trait to a custom Civ is going to require BNW.
Unfortunately, this version of this Civ will NOT be G&K compatible. My apologies. I'll update the description to match this. I will still maintain the original, G&K-compatible version of the mod even after this version goes live, though.
Played for awhile. No issues.
Reloaded the game, and the Resource bar was bugged out. (Gold, Culture, etc.)
It displayed stuff like GOLD!, CULTURE!, FAITH! and METAL GEAR!... Which I can only guess was your replacement for the "Mother Base XP"?
I pressed Next Turn, and the interface fixed itself, however, tooltips do not display for the resources on that bar. Just "Simple Description" or something.
If you need me to give a better description, just let me know. And, yes, I am using a lot of mods.
I actually know exactly what you're talking about -- it's the main bug I've been expecting people to encounter. The frustrating thing about it is that it's sporadic. Sometimes it'll load from a save file just fine, and other times it won't, and I can't discern what the differences between the two files are that cause it. I've got a fix I'll upload tonight that might help address the problem somewhat.
I wrote that in there while I was trying to fix it for G&K compatibility...and it was then I realized that it simply cannot work in G&K due to the trait. Apparently I forgot to take that line out. Whoops!
Except there is no /Soundinfos in either audiodefinesexpansion1.xml or audiodefinesexpansion2.xml. Help plz? I didn't have trouble with the other folder but in game im just hearing main menu music when i play MSF
here is a issue that i comfront,
If you play this mod with Corporations mod, then Mother base update progress and outer ops progrom will not work.
Im not a programmer though so i have no idea to help with it... but i hope i could.
good luck at there Vice, hope your interesting mod be more better day by day,
addition
After I installed Ver.7(ver6 was previous), this issue seems nomore.
perhaps its now fixed?
"Brief Description" i thought, well, whatever it is...
this bug also might cause issue that outer ops don't occur.
critical matter for this mod...
Both this mod and the Corporations mod replace TopPanel.lua, the game file which loads the information at the top of your screen such as gold, science, etc. The game can't load more than one copy of this file, so it takes the one from the mod that the game loads last (which is *usually* the one you checked last in the mod browser, but not always). So you're either getting your Corporation info or your Mother Base info, but not both.
There's not an easy fix for it. The only way to make multiple mods with TopPanel.lua replacers work together (or any other core Lua file like CityView.lua or CultureOverview.lua for that matter) is to manually copy and paste all of the changes from one of the files into the other mod's version of the file, then delete the first mod's copy of the file. It's a pain and can cause errors easily.
Once I've actually gotten all the major bugs ironed out, though (like the top panel still not playing nice with loaded savegames), I may consider including optional files with compatibility for Corporations and Civ IV Diplomacy Features, if their mod authors are willing to let me include their code in my mod.
It may be the Promotions mod does not take the Mother Base upgrade into account, but the lack of promotional progress is kind of frustrating.
