[Bug Report] Info screens get the game stuck
I couldn't think of a better title.

Logs:
- SE - https://pastebin.com/fXmGsTVt
- BV2 - not found

Mods:
- Text HUD API
- Build Vision 2
- BuildInfo

Steps:
1 - Press <Enter> to open chat
2 - Press <F2> to open mod menu
3 - Click on 'Mod Settings'
4 - Click on 'Build Vision'
5 - Click on 'Open Help Menu'
6 - Get stuck
7 - Hit <Alt> + <F4>
8 - Finally free
or
5 - Click on 'Bind Settings'
6 - Click on 'Open Bind Help Menu'
7 - Get stuck
8 - Hit <Alt> + <F4>
9 - Finally free

(I'll double-check ingame and update here)

What happens is that when I'm on Build Vision's menu (open chat and hit F2, then click on 'Mod Settings' and Build Vision') and click on any of those 'help' texts, I can see a text window show up for a split second, then it disappears and I can no longer control the game.

I can't see the cursor, hitting Esc, Enter, Del, F1, F2, F6 and F8, to name a few I tried, didn't help.

The only key that had some noticeable behaviour was Alt, that did expand the GPS markers, but nothing else.

I also tried Alt-Tabbing and Shift-Tabbing, but to no avail.

Things that may or may not matter:
Xbox Game Bar 'Performance' overlay active
Discord overlay enabled (but I was not on it when this happened)

I'll add more details when I can.

I've been seeing this myself for a while. Seems like something's changed with the game. Any time a mission screen is opened while the chat is open, the game UI just completely locks up. The only way I've been able to get out of it is to tab out and kill the game.

I've added a workaround to the next update to make sure those popups are only opened after the chat has been closed. In the meantime, I'd advise you and everyone else not to open any help menus from the mod menu.

Thanks for the reply.

I'm both glad that this isn't something exclusive to my game and sad that there doesn't seem to be a reliable solution at this time, other than being careful.

I'd guess yours is not the only mod affected by this, but IIRC BuildInfo did manage to show those text screens just fine, but I'll double-check. Maybe they managed to close the chat just in time and I didn't even notice.

Anyways, thanks again for replying, and thanks for the awesome mod! I can't believe I've only now found it, my life is so much better now.

Just checked, BuildInfo prompts us to close the chat first, and only then does the dialog appear. I didn't even remember this, and now I know why they did it this way.
