I have done some deep research and found a few resources that can help with this project but it comes at a cost.

Asteroids are part of a different system that ranges in all tiers of planets and with my lack of knowledge of adding new biomes I am going off of examples that I can find online.

Most of the examples target planets, moons are easier to work with as they are closer to planets and can be targeted to specific tiers as it has been done with a few mods, for example, the one below.

I can use that mod as a guide then build my code up from scratch and change the blocks of the moons and so on to resemble asteroids and if possible replace the fuel with ore.

This would be a workaround that I feel like I could have better chances at figuring out than spending more time getting frustrated trying to make asteroids spawn in tier stars.

I have tried to work on making a clone of the asteroid belt however, I ran into so many issue and there is more tutorials on making biomes and planets then anything related to asteroids that I could find. I did try to figure it out and that's mainly why I have been inactive for so long.

But on the bright side of things I have been working on a planet based mod which adds many features the community wanted in the first mod, I am currently testing the frozen asteroid planet. I have made the mod very specific with unique ids so this mod should have great support in the future as well as release with other mods.

I have created a small google site for a wiki which has some photos of some of the planets already made.

The last thing I should note is this will be a separate mode called "Balanced Asteroids 2" I have received some feedback asking for this to be separate so I am going a head with that and making it its own mod for sure.
