Bug/Exploit List
Currently known Game breaking Bugs and exploits 𝐵𝑂𝑁𝑈𝑆 𝐹𝐸𝐴𝑇𝑈𝑅𝐸𝑆.
================================================================

-Placing buildings on top of the tank / bomb hatch / bunker.

-WEY IS THE TURRT OFF ANGLE REEEEE.
1: Trigger teleport being problem child.
2: Point_mimic not always parenting correctly.
3: I miss my wife.

-Changing class while in the tank before wave start teleports player.
(Can cause T-Pose).

-Entities (Including important triggers) being deleted when players join.
(I assume too much ent data?).

1: Contact an admin / if hosting use mp_restartgame 1.
(Better to use once wave has started, as this can cause issues if there
isn't enough players to begin the wave).

2: Use callvote to restart the wave.
(This should only be used if your willing to reset all progress).

-Using taunts to mount turrets / tank with guns.
(But what if Direct hit with Beggar's Bazooka Turret?).

-The bot mutator spawning more than one giant bot.
(This Usually happens to Demoknights).

-Mutated giant robots disappearing.
(I believe this is due to them straying too far from the bomb carrier.
They are still just converted foot soldiers after all).

-Explosion effects not appearing.
(This seems to only really affect the server host, idk why REE).

-Rain sounds playing on death.
(Something to do with the rain soundscape trigger, Not sure why it does this).

-Game lagging on pre-wave spawn.
(This is due to the game restarting your sound, a minor fix I made for the next bug).

-Certain sounds not playing after wave completion.
(This is something that seems to affect MVM in general, idk why).
*Can be fixed by using "snd_restart" in the developers console,
also stops tank tread sounds*.

-Players inside the tank being deleted when destroyed.
(The tank should eject you at low heath and disable controls to prevent this).
*𝐵𝑢𝑡 𝐿𝑖𝑓𝑒 𝐹𝑖𝑛𝑑𝑠 𝐴 𝑊𝑎𝑦*.

Also depending on yer high dynamic range settings
the cubemaps can become extra chunky thicc.

if this becomes too much of an issue tho
I suggest using "mat_specular 0" in the developers console.

(it can also give better FPS, Ya YEet)


As to why it is the floors look like that, I assume it's either due to the scarce amount of env_cubemaps placed around the map, or the floor vertices causing the cubemap reflections to look like a** REEE.

There seems to be a bug where players games as well as the server will crash if someone disconnects while inside the tank. Someone re-created it with a bot here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ENjmNrF_bk4 .

Ok, now that's ebic. Thanks for bring this to my attention, also god help any server that tries hosting this buggy nightmare of a map. I might have a potential fix for this so I'll see what I can do when I get the chance. (Hardest part will be trying to dig this map outta my sorse maps graveyard cus Gawd Damn! it's scary in there, lol).

There's the same bug where players disconnecting while using the turret in mvm_madlad_bigger causes both the server and the player's game to crash

Good, I hate that map more than this one, lol (regardless thanks for pointing this out).

Mostly though it's like 6 versions behind now and I'm currently busy on other projects. One day I might come back to the madlads and remake em from the ground up. Since looking at it now, it's a miracle they even make it past the loading screen.

Anyways to get to the point, I might just try to keep "this" version of mvm_madlad on life support for now with bug fixes if they're bad enough.

if you manage to encounter the same issue under similar circumstances again please let me know. Cus that tank has as many bugs as I have dying brain cells, and god knows what could be causing it this time lol.
