[Bug Report] (+Suggestions) Lasers Remain Firing Forever, Sim Speed Drops & More
So the very common issues are present in my game as well:
-Laser turrets continue to fire through my grids to hit their targets and deal their normal damage to my owned blocks, in some cases destroying any block in their way. (Suggestion: Make their damage be tied to the same as missiles so that friendly grid damage can be turned off)
-Heavy sim speed drop when using more than a handful of laser turrets, even when turned off. Most noticeable when changing range above 400m. (Question: Could this be due to searching too large of an area much like OP Ore Detectors and their sim speed drops?)(Suggestion: Add a control block, or script for a programmable block, that turns the laser turrets off until an enemy is detected)
More atypical issues I'm having:
-Very often lasers will remain on after firing at target even once target is destroyed or out of range and won't turn off again unless manually turned off and back on. They continue to face the last direction they were when targeting and their lasers remain firing at the now empty space forever, it isn't a graphical glitch as the damage is still present in the laser beam. (Suggestion: After target is lost maybe they should turn themselves off and back on. Could tie into "Control Block/Detection Script suggestion from above)
-Laser Turrets damage happens in too short of intervals, allowing for MASSIVE faction reputation changes when hitting another grid, and not allowing all damage through. Basically faction reputation is able to adjust at that speed but damage seems to only be calculated every few frames instead. (Suggeston: Either lower DPH/DPS and increase the damage to basically feel the same as before, or remove lasers from being able to affect faction reputation altogether)
-Worse yet, not every laser turret affects faction reputation, some make the reputation drop too fast and others don't make any changes to faction reputation. (Can continue to monitor which is which)
