look through a mods workshop description, if its made for weaponcore it usually stands in that modescription.

and jep you need to choose as se cant handle 2 weaponframeworks at the same time and thus the vanilla weaponframework takes a backseat if yo uhave weaponcore in the world and this resulsts in nonwc wepaons having no working ai, than wc based munitions cant intercept nonwc munitions . . . that are the 2 most major compatibility problems that did in the past cause a bunch of bugreports even after it was clearly statet that its a compatibility problem and no bug which then resultet in the weapon removal system as its now in.
if you want to go with compatibility problems in you world you can turn on the unsupportet mode for wc (how to please view wepaoncore workshoppage) but if you encounter a problem you will need to turn it of and replicate it then to get a bughunt going.

I'm trying to remake a decent mod list for single player but everything i want to use doesnt work with weapon core so its all divided. been so annoying lately when i think something works and then it gets removed out of nowhere

and this mod is well made, otherwise it happens that you download a cool mod and it is not compatible with other mods

I am unsure what the actual cause is but I was having an issue where my game would crash (multiple other mods) whenever I selected the vanilla railgun. In the logs the only mod mentioned was DEW, I removed it and it worked

about if it make damage do not try but if I try to turn off at that point projector it crashed all world totally please fix it

After experimenting I followed the guide on updating the mod. Al works! However, with this version the anti-fighter turret is indestructible, not an issue with the WC version.

Right, I'm pretty sure that none of the weapons are working in any capacity other than manual control. Both WeaponCore and this.

<MaxTrajectory>5</MaxTrajectory> in DEW_WeaponLogic.cs doesn't appear to exist. Is this normal? I'm applying Squidtank's fix.

This mod works, just not out-of-the-box. Some Assembly Required. I've taken Squidtank's comment and written up a Discussion post based upon it, with detailed instructions on how to get this mod working again. It won't fit as a comment because comments have a 1000 character limit.

The Discussion should become visible once it passes Steam's automated content check system.

Looks like there aren't any good directed energy weapons on the workshop anymore... RIP. This mod was amazing when it worked.

I got this mod fixed using tips from comments.
Look at Squidtank's 2 comments from 18 Feb and 22 Feb for
-fix for crash with vanilla railgun
-fix for wrong camera position
-fix for turrets not shooting at targets (set MaxTrajectory for ammo to respective targeting AI range)

I tested these fixes and they work. Mod becomes fully functional.

Do not use. It's semi-broken. Some turrets don't shoot, or can't aim. AI doesn't work.

This mod has developed some issues following Keens latest update. As noted the turrets will not target enemies, when in control the turret the view is bugged, and some of the resources from this mod are conflicting with Keens vanilla weapons, ie. if you have this mod loaded and try to remove (delete, grind or destroy) a railgun the game will CTD,

Is it just me or do these weapons completely ignore Safe Zones or have some bug?
I play on random WC-free servers and one of them has this mod, so at some point I did this test:
Build a base with safezone (set to no damage, shooting allowed)
Place a few turrets inside, and build some test blocks in and out of safezone.
When I test it, turrets from this mod can damage any block, including ones inside safezone.
Vanilla turrets work as expected (any blocks outside safe zone are obliterated, ones inside are untouched)

you need to blacklist them in mes for that. take a look into the mes wiki there you find an explanation on how to do it

is there a way to stop these spawning on ai ships? they keep spawning on ships that dont have the power output to upkeep them and crashes the ship, it also looks way too out of place. It also spawns on enemy ground bases (modular encounters mods)

I have also had issues with the turrets not tracking unless turret idle rotation is on.

@Herrion They aren't in there by default, just add them to the block definition in the cubelocks.sbc for whichever turret needs fixing. I didn't play around with the values much, just kicked it up a bit to see if it would solve the problem, so probably needs some fine tuning.

But i can't find those camera settings, you mention, anywhere.
My CubeBlocks.sbc doesn't have those values at all?

@Clockwork168 Love the mod and figured i'd try to do some of the busy work for you. I figured out why the turrets don't track and fire. The ammo has <MaxTrajectory>5</MaxTrajectory> and I guess it's checking that now, raising that value fixes the problem. And the railgun crash can be solved by removing: [MyEntityComponentDescriptor(typeof(MyObjectBuilder_SmallMissileLauncherReload), true)]
public class DEW_SmallMissileLauncherReloadLogic : DEW_WeaponLogic { }
from DEW_WeaponLogic.cs.
None of the weapons in this mod seem to be that type and the railgun is that type. I don't script, so maybe there is a better way. Camera "fix" in my previous comment.

The camera issue with some turrets can be fixed by changing the camera offset for the cubeblocks, might be a better way (and probably better values).

Not sure what the issue with turrets not tracking and firing is but copying target says it's out of range. Will try the designator and script work-a-round.

Yeah, i'm no fan of weaponcore either. But you can somewhat make it work with "Whip's Turret AI Slaving Script". I'm using a Designator turret from "OKI Grande Weapons Pack - Modernized". It's very far from perfect and not very accurate but it makes the weapons aim and fire.

Last update (1.200) kinda borked gimbal lasers and possibly others. Now then you try control them, camera is inside the barrel. Otherwise they work fine.

@Abisius ik, ive done that, i deleted all the laser turrets ingame, saved then i removed it from world settings then i unsubscribed but i load in and its still there. the damn formians or whatever there called destroy my buildings xD
