Ascension perk explanations.
Seeming as they have no description to them, what do the perks actually do, for reference?

I too would love to know what some of those perks actually do....

The blank techs are a bit confusing, too. Even looking at the mod files, I can really sort out what something like "Better Amusement I" is supposed to do.
Agreed, they need to be fleshed out with some descriptions.

Planet Ascencion, which can be taken as first ascenion perk gives this:

Looks (considering the recoureces) rather like a mid game perk, maybe one should have to take one or two perks before (and yeah, some perk explanation would've been nice)

I've poked around with the three that improve sectors, though their exact names escape me. I think one is Universalism, one is Extreme Industry, and the other is Extreme something or another. The sum of it is that they seem to unlock techs that improve your districts. Each time you research the tech it will add one more job slot to a district or improve its production. For example, the tech that improves your alloy and manufactured goods will add an extra job slot to production districts, but Engineers will also produce extra goods as well. Combine that with the tech that adds an extra job slot to workshops and you'll be rolling in goods.

They don't seem to work on all of the districts, but they're still well worth picking up if you want to play tall.

By the by, better amusement adds more entertainer jobs to districts that give entertainers, and better trade gives more clerk jobs to trade districts (and ocean housing, but not normal housing).

This is dumb, why do none of these have descriptions?

Pretty big oversight

None of them have descriptions because the mod is not yet 100% complete. Revansschatten was nearly complete when the 2.3 patch rolled out, forcing a redesign of much of the mod. Most of the update work is now complete, and the localization for perks and techs is next on the list. Please be patient until then.

I've recently found your mod and grown quite fond of it.
Is localisation something that you expect to be done TOGETHER with the patch or afterwards?

Because if it a secondary concern (and something to come later) I might not be opposed to digging into the files to make a list of what I'd be able to scour the effects be and list them, if you do not mind?

@Soyaman

Be my guest. I'll talk to Revansschatten about it as well.

I feel like it might be a good idea to remove these until they're maybe a little more polished? Having no descriptions is no beuno.
Shatari 18. juli 2019 kl. 10:06
They're actually really useful, especially if you're playing with a low number of inhabitable planets or you're building tall. You just have to rely on some context clues to tell which ones are which and what they do.

This is not from the ascension perk, that decision is there on your homeworld when the game starts, and not when you take the perk. I havent actually figured out what the perk does yet though

The evolve planet is a prerequisite for the Planet Ascension Perk, the perk itself that creates a specially districted superplanet (with for example a cloning district)

There's also a perk called "Planetary Boundarys". I'd love to know what that does.
