Capital ship spam
How do you deal with ISD/capital spam? I'm playing rebellion and I throw fighters at them but they just take so damn long to kill.
The AI always brings like 20-30 of them. Half the time the battle crashes before I manage to chew through half of them.
TIE swarms are also a problem sometimes, I can wipe them out most of the time, but somtimes my fighters get annihilated and I'm not quite sure as to why.

To fight swarms of enemy fighters K-wings may be your choice, though they need tech 5 to build. Their seismic missiles (aka blue circle launchers) wipe out squadrons of fighters along with Empire player's sanity.
No clue on the large number of ships though, perhaps try reduce the number of your defense force and hope that AI will send less ship to counter them?

If I reduce my defence force they'll just punch through, so that's not really an option.
I haven't reached tech level 5, I've played a lot at tech level 1 because I didn't want the AI to swarm me with capital ships and now at Tech lvl 3 it's just triangle frenzy.
