Left 4 Dead 2

Beldurra 2 (part 1 of 2)
Kyle's Review of "Beldurra 2" - 4/5
Memorable, but easy. 4/5 stars.

Despite its title, Beldurra 2 is less of a sequel and more of a remix. The original maps have been overhauled and mixed with brand new segments to expand the campaign from three chapters to five, and many returning areas are traversed backwards or filled with other surprises. All the good stuff from the original is still here: the pseudo-European atmosphere, the cozy-yet-creepy cityscape, the pipe bomb crafting tables, and so on.

Difficulty was my biggest complaint in the first one, and it was toned down significantly. You still get occasional random crescendos, but the difficulty spikes are gone. If anything, the campaign is too easy now. Soda machines can heal your whole team to 100, and the hardest challenge you'll face is just finding where to go during a few confusing sections.

There are also issues with polish, but overall this is an improvement over the original. All the unique events have an unforgettable charm, especially the river rafting finale.
