Real research [idea]
Sorry for my bad English, next text is cite for idea.

All civilizations go through some of the typical stages of development. First — through very prolonged phase of quasistatic growth. In this phase, discoveries and inventions made very seldom, because society has not studied the Main Technology — technology of creation of new technologies. Discoveries and inventions are made accidentally, by a combination of circumstances, no purposeful activities on the acquisition of new knowledge civilization. Between the discovery of fire and the invention of the wheel can get tens of thousands of years. Since the new technologies emerge very rarely and individually, and one such discovery to the other in a society gives way to a few generations, society has time to adapt to the changes that new technology has made in his life, to understand these changes, organically weave them into their culture and traditions. The members of such a society it seems that it lives up to the eternal tradition.

But sooner or later in the history of the majority civilizations comes a turning point, as a result of the gradual accumulation of knowledge over all the previous millennia someone suddenly opens the secret of Main Technology. On Earth, this happened at the beginning of the 17th century. The technology typography, which created the preconditions for this discovery appeared in a hundred and fifty years earlier, in the 15th century. By the early 17th-century printed books were already widely available, a critical mass of readers who think, and then the opening of the Main Technology has become a matter of time - one of them necessarily should think about. The first breakthrough in this area occurred in 1600. Galileo, after reading numerous works of ancient sages decided to check out some of their approval, in practice, and found that they are wrong. This led him to the idea that the only way to obtain reliable knowledge — through experiments ask questions Nature.

The second breakthrough came in 1620. Francis Bacon was looking for the secret of what he called "natural magic" that is a universal method enables to perform any miracles, which can only wish for. Bacon realized that Galileo's method of cognition can be deliberately used to create new technologies. In fact reliable knowledge gained by experimentation, easily repeatable when repeating the experiment. They operate predictably like a machine, and therefore on their basis can create devices with predictable behavior. And with almost any desired behavior. Because if for creation of a particular device we lack reliable knowledge, they can always be obtained by asking relevant questions Nature, without waiting for the knowledge to be discovered by accident. This opens the way for the creation of any technology, what can be imagined that actually is the desired "natural magic."

This can be considered as the time of opening the Main Technology - the creation of new technologies. Since then, the emergence of new inventions ceased to be a random event - new technologies are purposefully and systematically work out. From now new technologies began to appear not accidental, but a regular one after the other. In this case, the rate of their appearance is increasing every year due to the synergistic effect - the interaction between any two of a new technology, as a rule, paving the way to a whole bunch of new technologies. This meant the end of the quasistatic traditionalist civilization. Thanks to the advent of new technology life began to change drastically faster than the generations passed.

What do you think in general about these thoughts and do you have any idea about this? If so, participate in the discussion right here and now!

The Idea is pretty cool, but maybe it's better to create a whole new mod separated from this...
Or an option in the setup to enable this. :)
It would take you a loooot of time to do this... It is an huge work too! But i think a lot of people would like a mod like that! ;)

At the moment, it's pretty fuzzy idea, because we need to come up with what to do the player in the early stages, if they are a little bit longer. And yet, I was thinking about that before the discovery Currency of the civilization of money should not be treasury. At least in the form of gold coins

The idea of research has to be balanced. If you can do this and come up with an early gameplay ... it would be good. I am alone and I only have two hands
What if the palace didnt creat technology, and to gain science at first, the player must explore the world and find different things, such being, finding certain resources will gain science. You would only get the science ones per resource, making sciene finite, and must save it up to buy technologies. Religion could also gen tech, through the mindset that the civ's gods show them new things and ways to live. Thats all i have for now.

Good idea, but this is only way to remove the initial bonus. Not understand about things and gods
