Balance Thread
I would like the mod to be balanced, at least in ascension 15-20. If you think some cards are too strong or too weak, or the character has some overall problems, post here. I'll look at your feedback and take it into account for updates.

While I'm definitely not at 15-20 yet since I haven't snatched up one of the mods to dump you at whatever level you want I still have two cards I for sure feel a bit out of balance, that'd be the Ramping Strike and Defence cards. At 2 power gained each turn they're obvious "At least one of each" If you ever see either of them considering how fast they become rather amazing during drawn out boss and elite fights.

They feel like they're a bit much for just common cards with a 0 cost.

Edit: I'm a tard, didn't notice I could automatically choose whichever ascension I wanted. So far at 15 he was a fun wrecking crew, and I still more or less auto added Rampings to the deck when it wouldn't dilute what I was going for.

I agree with you, these cards are too strong right now. What's difficult is keeping them fun, while balancing them. I think nerfing the upgraded version cost to 1 would work. I'll test variations around that. I would like to keep them scaling at 2 per turn for now, but changing that to 1 would be another option.

And yeah, i automatically unlocked ascension. Because I personally dislike grinding ascension on modded chars. Hope you like it!

Either of those options actually sound pretty neato, personally I'd love to see them stay 0 cost especially for the shuriken/kunai boosting. When you're looking for balance opinions we're talking vanilla with just him added in yeah? Because so far I haven't encountered anything else I'd find too imbalanced. Did a few more 15 runs after stripping out the other mods I usually mess around with. All in all I quite like the theme of this character since it's always fun to spam out 0 costers and watch his procs go insane, heck I'd love to see another Character specific relic in the same vein as Tingsha for The Silent after testing out the Runed Arc I think its called, that little relic is totally worth taking as a boss reward already in my opinion once you're built towards 0 cost focused decks.

Yes, I want to balance him with just vanilla. Otherwise there's just too much stuff to deal with. But by default the 0 cost generated cards are only from vanilla or from the trickster, so character mods are no issue. (There's an option in the config to change that but I don't really recommend it)

Yes, I agree 0 cost focused decks feel really nice to use. The Relic is named Runic Torus and I think it's a powerful one. The Mist Form power (whenever you play a 0 cost card deal 4(6) damage to all enemies) is also really strong.
They actually are 2 relics in the same vein as Tingsha: Strange Doll (common relic; Whenever you get a debuff, deal 3 damage to a random enemy) and Bone Whistle (rare relic; Whenever you draw a Status, deal 3 damage to a random enemy.) Is that what you have in mind?

Oh those are both perfect, I just never had the chance to encounter either of them so far which is why I was wondering. Love that Mist form and how its in line with the other forms in prohibitive cost to make you wince if you draw it at the wrong time.
