Possible Upgrades?
I'm just starting this discussion for anyone wanting a better singleplayer experience. I am not related to the mod at all, I've just got my own requests.

I've been playing this for a while now, including Barbo's and the Community's versions, and I always have the annoyance of some faraway town that I captured months before, flipping to the US despite no forces anywhere nearby. Is there something that you can tweak to make them never flip back?

Thanks Chief, but I got this information from another source a good 4-5 months ago.

I tried modifying the Mission, but with only minor knowledge of A3 scripting. All i could basically do was to modifiy starting gear to resemble a underequipped 90's milita force without optics and anything newer then AK's. The newer Community Version is hiding most of the basic parameters behind multiple .sqf's, and even after hours of digging with Total Commander, i couldn't find out where to modify most things sadly.
If someone wants to do similar changes for a easier start, unpack the .PBO with Pbomanager (google for it), search for /Templates and edit (depending on the Mod you use) for RHS: RHS_Reb_NAPA_Arid.sqf and for Vanilla: Vanilla_Reb_FIA_Altis.sqf.
Open the one you need and scroll down to //Starting Unlocks.
Use this Spreadsheet made by another Community Member as a reference for RHS:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1H8F2YJiLp-VpmTZ3koypBV9fSIZ007cxO-7qZRfmcQc/edit#gid=1365897736

(Vanilla A3 Class Names are all over the Internet)

Add what you need and start up a new game. It won't accept your changes, if you don't start a fresh Antistasi game. The params will only load once when a new save gets created.

You don't need to repack the folder that you made by unpacking the .PBO, simply move it into mydocuments/Arma3/Missions and load it up into the Eden Editor. Make sure that your missionfolder ends with the Terrain your on (example folder: ThisMission.Altis)
If you can load it up into Singleplayer in Editor without errors, you're good to go to export it into a Singleplayer Scenario and start playing.

I hope this will help someone to have a easier start!
