Et cetera.
Y'guys didn't notice that?^^
So while I'm not sure the title of this item is completely accurate to Grineer substitution conventions (see also (speech) about 2/5ths down this page https://warframe.fandom.com/wiki/Grineer_Language ), it isn't that far off either, and I'm not sure if the specific letters for Gas Mask would have a given substitution rule or not. I'd probably ask DE if it was me, but then I'm kind of a language enthusiast...
Precisely my thought. The Grineer language is just a pidgin of English-gone-wrong. Gath Mathk is such an amusingly perfect name that fits into the etymology of the universe that I thought ANYONE could see even if they don't care a squat for language that it boggles my mind that's a complaint.
I certainly have no problem with it.
This name is the best thing I've ever seen in my time playing this game and DE would be fools to change even a single letter of it
Apparently, it also means "to gas" in Turkish, or "to dig" in Turkmen. This is also suiting, considering the Grineer's use of chemical warfare, as well as their mining background.
Taking the word Respirator, making it grineerish (Rethperator), then shorten the word and split, since Grineer are dummies who aren't great with big words.
