Please, don't give up on it!
First things first, thank you for making this. Works great with GOG version and I'm having a lot of fun with it.

And while it is probably impossible to build from captured carriers, I still hope you will at least exapnd this mod to work with HW2 ships.

If I'd had any money, I'd donate some to you. However, I'm a struggling modder myself, so I really don't have any. Instead, I could probably help you with something? I'm not sure if I'll be able to set up the tools to work with GOG version, but I might give it a try if you'll need me to.

Anyway, thanks, and, please, keep it alive.

Thanks for being so supportive! I haven't given up just yet, but I am definitely having difficulty getting it to work with HW2. There seems to be some mysterious thing making things more difficult.
I code the ship to make sure they are capturable and it works for things like the Hyperspace Inhibitor asteroids in mission 4 or Makaan's flagship but it doesn't work for the Vagyr Carrier, Vagyr Shipyard or Vagyr Planet Killers. I have no idea why this is the case, but I suspect for the carrier and Shipyard, the developers made some scripted failsafe to prevent them from transfering to player control during the capture process, but I can't find where this failsafe is or what is causing it

Wow, that was just an hour ago BUT, I just made a HUGE discovery and I'm so happy. I just managed to capture a Vagyr Carrier AND Vagyr Shipyard. In the leveldata folder for the missions, I found a piece of code that did EXACTLY as I predicted:
HW2_DisableBuilderOnCapture
I removed this from all the mission files and now I can capture the carriers and shipyards.
This means I am well on my way to making an update to make capture HW2 ships!

Good thing I did not start HW2 right away after completing HW1! I've so believed you'll eventually bring some more news!

@Ross_R, Sadly I still haven't been able to make the Keeper or Keeper Drone capturable, which is really annoying, but on the bright side I managed to make captured Taiidan and Vaygr ships build their respective race's ships thanks to wagnerleung0079's help. I'm going to test it first by playing through both campaigns and then I'll release the update.

It's still an amazing mod, so don't stress too much about it.

in mission 10 i believe is that station capture able yet? i love to take that thing and use it as a small shield!!!! or well Cosmic shield?

This mod causes a crash if you try to capture the station on mission 5 of hw2rm, and the production carriers in that mission are not capturable.
