Radious MOD adds +1 difficulty level to map in my opinion to the . As far as battles, AI does behave better, but doesn't necessarily win better. I mean, AI doesn't do really stupid stuff as much, but it is still not much harder then vanilla. So for the map, I would say play whatever difficulty you like for vanilla.
The thing is Radious mod is a little too hard in the beginning, but later due to extra skill points for generals and armies you will have no issues even against 5 -6 full stacks.
This makes campaigns really long because you can't afford to autocalc but I love rome 2 for battles so I got not problem with that :like:
Why isn't this happening to me :O I have the Radious Total War mod and a few others (That don;t change gameplay besides 4tpy) and it's just been a smooth, easy ride so far. I'm on my 50th turn with over 20 settlements taken with no one declaring war on me, normal difficulty. I'm making 10k per turn and have about 100k with max armies and max built settlements. ???
if you develope your army quickly the AI respects you and they dont declare war.
AI was made far more agressive, better utilise its economy and resources, recruit more and faster, better balanced armies etc etc.
On other hand Battle difficulty should be always played on normal or hard due to hidden stats bonuses for Ai on higher difficulties which can destroy balance.
Hope this helps guys!
4TPY is already included, no need to use it. :-)
