Q: I have only two retinues. Why is that?
A: Your capital county does not meet technological requirements to unlock other retinue types. Once you improve it more retinue types will appear. If you don't believe me and you want to quickly check if it does - open the console, type techpoints, upgrade your technology and see for yourself. ;)

Q: I don't have retinues at all. Why is that?
A: You picked "No retinues" option while starting your current game. If you play non-ironman mode you can edit your saved game in a text editor. Make sure you uncheck "save compression" option which you can find while saving your game (it's a box to the right of your save game name).
1. Open your save game file in text editor (preferably notepad++).
2. Scroll down to find line with "game rules=".
3. Right below that find a line that says: RETINUES_REDONE="RR_OFF".
4a. If you play vanilla game change it to: RETINUES_REDONE="RR_VANILLA".
4b. If you play HIP mod change it to: RETINUES_REDONE="RR_HIP".

Q: I want to make my save game compatible with this mod but after I open it in text editor I see no text but quintillion symbols. It's like it's encrypted. Why is that?
A: If you don't see regular english text after opening your saved game in text editor, go back to your game and check if you have save game compression enabled (you can find it while saving a game). Make sure it's unchecked. If it doesn't help it means you are playing on ironman mode and there is nothing to be done about it but to start a new game to use this mod without any issues.
