rlas:
this happened today: "so it made me unable to start the simulation in any way. That got fixed by going into the Menu ingame and resuming (not from Home menu)."

yh i was playing for the last 2 hours or more. I thought this might cause errors even more if i check the "dont show me this again" so i unchecked it but than i had the simulation issue today i already explained :/
It has nothing to do with the adjust pathfinding mod, I didn't update it for some time.
The issues will definitely go away when you check the don't show again box and reload the whole game because then the window will not be generated. Of course that it problematic and the issues shouldn't happen at all, so I rolled out a fix
I will tidy up the discussion on main page a bit.
Everything worked fine until your mod popped up. The cursor moves, and I can click on the menu buttons, but the game time does not advance, there is not animation, and until I click on the RICO button and select an item from there, I am not able to build or zone anything. It's not until I click RICO that time and movement advances, and then I can build and zone as normal. This happens on every save I have, and again was not an issue until your ad popped up. Seems like a great mod!!, but so far it has left a very sour taste in my mouth. I wish the ad had not existed.
