Split-Screen?
Hello! I can't find the way to make player 2 to move properly. Using xbox controller and playing with my friend through Remote Play. Keyboard and mouse works fine, but player 2 can't move at all, though player can use items and inventory for some reason. Any suggestions?

Yeah tried remote play awhile back doesn't work boss the mod itself says it doesn't work MP i think remote play should be mentioned in that but yeah remote play = MP so no MP = no remote play, no other players of any kind the intent of the mod is for people who play solo but want companions. Kinda wish we could have cake and eat it to but i think the mod uses an aspect of the multiplayer system so MP and remote play probably breaks it.

Yeah, I guess.. But idk, i think that there should be some kind of a workaround, since we're still able to use other buttons and access inventory. I wonder if there's any chance to *remap* controls for the second player

You definitely can. I just played split screen with NPC's the other day on build 41 using Parsec. Had to quit out of the game and reload a few times because a few bugs.

From my experience so far, this mod DOES work for MP, though exclusively through split-screen to an extent. Assuming that you know how to use remote play already, make sure that Player 1 uses keyboard/mouse and Player 2 uses a controller before trying the steps below.

First, host the game and spawn into the world. Your friend or whoever should press A (or X for PS controller) and a menu will pop up at the top left of the screen. Make a new character and make sure to spawn in the same area (up to you).

Next, you will notice that your character cannot move but can sit, interact, etc. Now the Host MUST quit and reload the game. Once reloaded, Player 2 must simply press A (or X) again and the same menu will open up except now Player 2 selects the character they just made earlier.

The result from this is a funny predicament: there are two character models of Player 2, one being the player and the other an NPC now named "Bob" regardless of gender. "Bob" is friendly and can be instructed by Player 1 only.

I have been playing with my friend for a while through this method and it's pretty fun. The only downside so far is that the NPCs are unkillable by player-base damage so I recommend disabling Raiders and hostile NPCs.

Yooo! This is awesome. But the only thing is that my friend doesn't have a controller.. but I do. I'm hosting the game, so is there's any chance for me to be Player 2? even tho I'll be on a pc. Since it's a *remote* play

Not sure if you tried this or not, but there is a pvp button in the bottom right corner, not sure if this allows damaging the AI, but it's worth the try I suppose?
